Introducing the All-New Doro PhoneEasy 618

As we move into the gift-giving season, it gives me great pleasure to announce the availability of a new version of our very popular Doro PhoneEasy series. These Doro phones have been some of our best-sellers—with good reason—and now with the release of PhoneEasy 618 they’re destined to be even more popular.

Here are a few reasons why I’m so excited about this new phone:

-The Doro design is all about simplicity and ease of use, from its high-contrast, large buttons to its colorful, easy-to-see display. Plus, it gives you superior audio, so you can hear the cell phone ringing even when in a crowd.

-The Doro PhoneEasy 618 includes a 3.2 megapixel camera; adding a camera was perhaps the single most common suggestion we received from those of you using a Doro phone. You asked for it and now it’s here.

-An external screen has been added that enables you to easily see who is calling when the phone is closed.

-Once you flip open your Doro PhoneEasy 618, you’ll notice an even larger, easy-to-read screen.

-Other enhancements include the phone’s ability to send and receive pictures, a slot for a micro SD card, and three handy speed-dial buttons.

The above improvements are all great reasons for selecting the Doro PhoneEasy 618. However, I want to also mention what I consider to be one of the most useful additions to the phone: its safety enhancements. As with other Doro phones, you still have an emergency alert button on the back. When you press this button, the phone automatically dials the number of a friend or family member– whichever you program.

That’s not all.

There’s an expanded ICE (In Case of Emergency) feature that’s very useful. The PhoneEasy 618 lets you store a range of safety information, including: date of birth, height, weight, language, insurance information, medical conditions, medications, data on any allergies you may have, blood type, vaccination details and information on whom to contact in the event of an emergency.  And if you want to store more details, there’s an extra field for additional information. First responders are trained to look for ICE information on cell phones, so you want to give them as many details as you can.

Hands-down, I think you’ll love the Doro PhoneEasy 618. It offers all the simplicity of our previous, award-winning Doro phones. It includes a camera, incredible sound, a friendly user interface and the safety features you need and deserve.  It is 3G, Bluetooth-enabled and hearing aid-compatible. The DoroPhoneEasy 618 is available for $60.00 – with free activation and free shipping, too.

Perhaps best of all, it’s small enough to fit as a stocking stuffer. Hint, hint.

We bought two Doro 618’s and cannot connect to the Sync system in our car. They say they are Bluetooth compatible but will not connect. If they don’t, can we trade them for phones that will? We really use this service a lot. Our old phones worked great with Sync.

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for reaching out to us, Lynda. Your Doro 618 phones do work with Bluetooth, but you need to ensure that both the Bluetooth function and the visibility is turned on. To turn Bluetooth on, go to Menu, then Settings and select Bluetooth. Make sure the Bluetooth function is turned on. Then go back to Bluetooth and select Visibility. You’ll need to make sure that function is turned on as well. Once you’ve taken those steps, you should be able to connect to the system in your car. We’re happy to assist you if you run into trouble- just give us a call at 888-345-5509. Soon you’ll be hands-free. Thank you again for posting!

My husband trouble hearing doro ring. What can I do to help him? The ringer is on loud.

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for reaching out to us, Pat. I reviewed your account, and I see that you’re using the Doro 618. Please try going to Menu, then Settings. From there, select Sound, then Volume. You’ll be able to use the volume key on the side of the phone to turn the volume up. If the volume is turned up as high as possible and your husband continues to have issues, we can try to extend the number of rings to provide him with more time to answer. I purchased the DORO for my mother for the emergency button feature. I believe she’s now beginning to be more confused and I’d like to be able to track her whereabouts, is there a device with this capability?

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for posting, Jeffrey. We have a variety of smartphones available with GPS technology, with which she could share her location with you. Another option we have is the Ally, a Personal Emergency Response Device that can be worn on a belt or around the neck. It would allow your mother to have access to emergency assistance whenever needed, and includes GPS technology to pinpoint her location. You can learn more about this device here on our website. If you like, we can answer any questions you may have about the Doro 626 or our other devices at 888-345-5509. We appreciate you reaching out to us today!

How to download pictures from Doro 618 to windows computer. Tried cord I have plugging into computer and only wants to charge. I would like to figure out process to get pics from phone to windows computer.
    Thanks-Ronnie, Consumer Cell customer

    • Hi Ronnie, thanks for your question. The phone will need to be connected to the phone using the USB cable, and then once it’s plugged in, look in its file explorer to find the phone, and then you can move photos around between the two. If you have any trouble with any of that, feel free to give us a call at 800-686-4460 or chat with one of our agents here and we’d be happy to help.
