We were delighted last month to find that Consumer Cellular was named as having “America’s Best Customer Service” in the Mobile Carriers and Telecommunications category by Newsweek. The results came from an exhaustive, nationwide survey Newsweek conducted of more than 20,000 customers who have either made purchases, used services, or gathered information about products or services in the past three years.
On a 10-point scoring scale, Consumer Cellular earned a score of 8.69, well ahead of any of our wireless competitors and also one of the top scores among the 480 companies who were rated across 160 different categories. Scores were based 50-50 on a company’s “Net Promoter Score,” which rates the likelihood that a consumer will recommend a company or service to friends, and a cumulative score from 5 evaluation categories including range of services, customer focus, and professional competence.
The Newsweek honor is the latest recognition our 100% U.S. based customer service team has received this year, but it’s certainly not the first. As you may recall, in August we were also named “#1 in Customer Service among Non-Contract Wireless Providers” by J.D. Power for the 7th time in a row!
