Consumer Cellular Awarded Best Customer Service by Newsweek

Don’t just take it from us. We were delighted last month to find that Consumer Cellular was named as having “America’s Best Customer Service” in the Mobile Carriers and Telecommunications category by Newsweek. The results came from an exhaustive, nationwide survey Newsweek conducted of more than 20,000 customers who have either made purchases, used services, or gathered information about products or services in the past three years.

On a 10-point scoring scale, Consumer Cellular earned a score of 8.69, well ahead of any of our wireless competitors and also one of the top scores among the 480 companies who were rated across 160 different categories. Scores were based 50-50 on a company’s “Net Promoter Score,” which rates the likelihood that a consumer will recommend a company or service to friends, and a cumulative score from 5 evaluation categories including range of services, customer focus, and professional competence.

The Newsweek honor is the latest recognition our 100% U.S. based customer service team has received this year, but it’s certainly not the first. As you may recall, in August we were also named “#1 in Customer Service among Non-Contract Wireless Providers” by J.D. Power for the 7th time in a row!

    I would like to increase my data so that I can continue the use of my phone without the data being restricted or slowing down

With our new plans, you do have the option to actually purchase more data once the 25GB mark has been met and keep those same faster speeds.     Can you tell me what kind of service is offered in Alexander County, North Carolina. I’ve not heard of anyone around here have consumer cellular service here.

    Hey Jacob,
    Let me say there is no other company that I have ever felt so good about, in my 62 years of life. Consumer Cellular has the best price, plans, service and people imaginable. I recommend Consumer Cellular to everyone (for free).
    Recently; however, Consumer Cellular has dropped the ball and has ignored their only problem…answering customer calls! Never, have I called, in the past, and had to wait 20-30 minutes to get someone on the line. It is so WRONG from a company that prides itself on its Customer Service Awards. To be the best (as your company has been for years now) you CANNOT make customers wait 20-30 minutes to get help!!!!!! Please don’t let your company fall down…hire some more phone assistants…PLEASE!

However, this process takes time as we want to ensure that these representatives are properly trained to assist our customers.     Great service. I love the online chat. Consumer Cellular is the best Cellular phone company I have had since 1990. I am 77 years “young” and love their service. Even in a place, I live, where I usually have about 3 stripes contact.
