NEW OKC CALL CENTER BENEFITS CUSTOMERS NATIONWIDE

When Consumer Cellular was founded back in 1995, we quickly defined a goal that still rings true today – to support our affordable cell phone service with a firm commitment to customer service. All these years later, we relish in opportunities to reaffirm that commitment to delivering award-winning customer service to you, our customer. With that in mind, we are pleased to announce the opening of a brand new customer service center in Oklahoma City.

Though we’ve long served customers through the entire country, the Oklahoma City facility will be our first customer service location in America’s Heartland. Eventually staffed with over 300 employees, this location will serve as an excellent opportunity to meet the needs of customers in any time zone. Best of all, this expansion really highlights our long-standing desire to keep jobs in America.

Our CEO summed it up wonderfully by saying, “Oklahoma City is the perfect location to serve our customers located in the middle of the country….With this move, we look forward to bettering our award-winning service, while being a community partner in Oklahoma City.”

We have a long history of leveraging an all-American workforce to deliver superb customer service, but you cannot move forward if you stand still. That’s why we at Consumer Cellular will continue taking steps towards expanding and finding more ways to provide unmatched customer service to our outstanding customer base.

I currently use a 4 year old Samsung phone and Verizon service. I want to change to Consumer Cellular. Can I buy a new unlocked, unused Samsung S21 FE phone, signup for Consumer Cellular, receive your SIM card, and transfer my current phone number to the new phone? Thank you.

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Hi Joan, if it’s unlocked you can try bringing it to our service. While we can’t guarantee compatibility, we’ll do all we can to get it working. You can also transfer your number to our service as long as it’s active with your current carrier.

Is this an A02 or and A02s? There is a difference.

Hi Mike, the main differences are hardware, such as the A02s having a faster processor and better camera but those differences are minimal.

Funny to read that customer service is better. Personally, I have three phones on my Consumer Cellular account and have been very happy with the telephone service for years. My referrals have brought over 50 new customers to CC as well. However, lately, getting someone to take an order for new service or activate service when the phone or home base arrives is a multi-hour job over two or more days. Most of my referrals are senior citizens who have moved into a senior living facility. They always ask me to help them get their service working. With the latest attempt for a 94 year young lady, the promised call back never happened, and the “30 minute” projection of hold time ended up being an hour or more. Then we had to do it all over again when the service rep, who promised to call back, did not call. I insisted on speaking with a supervisor after one hour on the second call (fourth actually, since no one called back on two of them). The supervisor had the home base and telephone working in five minutes. Sorry, CC. You claim of better customer service is falling on my deaf ears. It might be awhile before I refer any more customers your way.

    • Hi Larry, thank you for your post. We understand that the wait times are frustrating for our customers, and we are diligently hiring and training new agents to get this resolved for our customers. This process can take time because we want to make sure our agents are properly trained to provide the best customer service possible, and we appreciate your patience during this time.

Wanda number 4265 at Consumer Cellular

Today 2/8/2022, I had the pleasure of speaking with Wanda. She was so professional and I was impressed. I am compelled to write this review. She helped me activate my phone and voice mail. She was so patient during the whole process and I could understand every word she said. The last time that I called I got a person by the name of Riley. He was talking so fast, I couldn’t understand a word he was saying. I even asked him, why he was talking so fast. When he finally started talking like a real person I could understand him. Thank God I got Wanda today. She made the phone call effortless. I’m having a good day today! Thank you Wanda for your professionalism in the way that you handle customers.

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, Nancy. I’m happy to hear that Wanda did such a great job, and I’ll pass along your feedback to her direct supervisor. Have a great day!

Hello, I just called and when I was connected it sounded like the call center was from India. Every word I spoke I could here a echo of my voice that was very loud and distracting so I had to hang up. Did you move some of you call centers? One of the main reason I use CC is you use staff based in the USA.
