There’s also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies. Both the rear and front cameras capture full-high-definition video at 30 frames per second. And for storing those photos and videos, the Moto G Pure includes 32GB of internal storage, expandable up to 512GB by adding a microSD card, which is sold separately.

Powering it all is a 4,000 mAh battery that delivers up to two days of reliable, mixed-use power on a single charge.

If you’re looking for a great smartphone at a great price, the Moto G Pure is a terrific choice. You can purchase it today for $129, or by using our interest-free EasyPay financing; you pay just $33 down, then $4 per month is conveniently added to your monthly wireless bill for 24 months with 0% interest.

How does it line up to themoto play

    • Hi Dan, thanks for your question. The two phones are very similar to each other specs-wise. If you’d like, you can take a closer look at the Motorola Pure by going to our website here for more details. It does look like there are small differences, such as the Motorola Play being able to support a larger microSD card, and the Motorola Pure is a slightly larger phone option.

If I were to need help , where is the closet place to assist me?

    • Hi Martha, thanks for your question. If you need in-person assistance, we do need to set up an appointment with our partnered Target locations since not all of them offer that option. You can also give us a call at 800-686-4460 or chat with an agent here and we’d be happy to troubleshoot your issue.

  3. Terry Willbanks says

Can I use a Verizon Samsung iPad and get a consumer cellular SIM card ?

    • Hi Terry, thanks for your question. We can’t guarantee compatibility for all devices, but if the tablet is unlocked from Verizon, can take a physical SIM card, and is VoLTe capable, we can definitely try our SIM with it.

  4. Yvonne Torrance says

Why is it over 300.00 dollars on your website?

    • Hi Jacobus, thanks for your question. Checking our website, I am showing the Moto G Pure is on sale for $129 plus taxes. I would make sure there is not anything else in your cart if you are trying to check out with just that phone. Let us know if you have any questions!

Question; can I sell my iPhone 11 plus. And can you help me get rid of the iPhone too that I don’t know ablout. So will you give me this Motorola for the iPhone 11?

    • Hi Gregg, thanks for your question. We are not able to do trade-ins, but we’d be happy to see if the phone is in the Risk-Free Guarantee time frame to see if we can exchange it for you. To sell a phone, we will need to make sure that it meets our unlocking requirements so that it can be sold. To unlock a phone, the phone needs to be active with us for up to 180 days, completely paid off, and there can’t be a balance on the account. If you have any questions or would like assistance with this process, give us a call at 800-686-4460 or chat with one of our agents here.

I would like to return my apple Iphone 6 plus because it is having connectivity issues. Says not connected to internet, when it is (tv, computer, ect all are) it is now refusing to accept my password, or any for that matter, saying it is wrong pw. I have played with this phone for a long time and it is very cranky, but I just thought that was how it was. (New at smart phones) But after all this time it has not got any better, in fact it has got worse, so if I remove my sims card and ship it back to you , will that remove all my data? Since it is used you could refurbish it , but I am tired of messing with it, and now that I know how to use it, need one that can connect to internet, wifi, bluetooth, with out issues. Brenda Rapp (Would I get a small refund ?) PS I have had internet guys check and say nothing wrong with my coverage, it just started to refuse to connect, and it is in excellent condition, so no problems there.

    • Hi Brenda, thanks for your post. I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re having with the phone. We are not able to return a phone once it is outside of our Risk-Free Guarantee time period of 14 days, previously it had been 30 days. Removing the SIM will not remove the information on the phone, to do this, you will need to do a factory reset. We’d be happy to assist you with your phone though if you’d like to give us a call at 800-686-4460 or chat with one of our agents here for further assistance with this.

When are you all cutting off 3g service?

    • Hi Mike, thanks for your interest in our service! There are no additional fees for purchasing our phone via Target, just keep in mind that not all of our Target locations are set up to sign you up for service. If you need any help with that process, give us a call at 800-686-4460 and we’d be happy to assist you.

  20. Kerry William Woods says

So ironic-and sad-a communications service provider uses a “donotreply” email address to contact clients, has waiting times of up to a half hr for customer service via phone & long queues for clients waiting to engage in chat. Maybe semaphores or telegraph would be faster & more efficient.

    • Hi Kerry, we appreciate your feedback on this. We understand that the wait times are frustrating for our customers, and we are diligently hiring and training new agents to get this resolved for our customers. This process can take time because we want to make sure our agents are properly trained to provide the best customer service possible, and we appreciate your patience during this time. I have passed your concerns and feedback on internally for you going forward. Thank you.

  22. Doris says

Does Consumer Cellular’s Motorola Moto G Pure 32GB come unlocked?

    • Hi Doris, thanks for your question. All of our phones are actually locked to our network for up to 180 days, and will need to be paid off in full with no balance on the account before we can look at unlocking them.

  23. susanna says

jacob, are you aware there is no chat available at this time for consumer cellular. you might also let people know customer service is no longer 24/7 and the wait time even if you call as soon as they open at 5am is still half an hour or more.

    • Hi Susana, I apologize if there has been some confusion. We have never offered 24-hour customer service, and our chat platform is only available from 6:00 AM Pacific Time until 5:00 PM Pacific Time, seven days a week. If you have any questions, let us know!

Been on hold for 1 hour and 35 minutes. This is unacceptable! I’m just needing to upgrade my phone but keep getting an error message when I do it via website. This is crazy. This is also why i left my previous carrier. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

    • Hi Jana, thanks for your post. We understand that the wait times are frustrating for our customers, and we are diligently hiring and training new agents to get this resolved for our customers. With the holidays past, I’m now catching up on my reading. Being a member of AARP, I get a discount from Consumer Cellular. In the AARP magazine dated, Dec 2021/Jan 2022, behind the front cover, there’s an ad for service upgrade. I went to my account and saw that my plan is no longer available. But I can continue, at that rate. I see my needs, for a cellphone increasing, in the next couple of months. Can you please email me a breakdown of the 7GB of data and Unlimited Talk+Text? “More for the same price!”
Lots of people must of received CC phones, in their fireplace stockings! Calling Customer Service, right now, is a bit slow . Thank you!

    • Hi E.T., I see you were able to speak with an agent, but just in case this wasn’t brought up, you can view all of our plans by going to our website here. The breakdown for it is the new Unlimited Talk plan is $15 a month plus tax, and the 7GB/Unlimited Texting plan is $20 a month plus tax, giving you a total of $35 a month plus tax.

I have a friend who does not own a Debit/Credit card, is it still possible to pay for service without one? like get a paper bill or something similar?
    thanks!

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Hi Matt, the credit check would determine what payment options are available for your friend. If they’re not autopay required, then they can mail in a payment, as well as receive a paper bill.

  29. Ron says

    Hello CS,

I currently have service with you via the Moto-G7-Power Smartphone.

I’m looking to replace the Moto-G7-Power.

How does the Moto-Pure compare with the Moto-G7-Power?…

    • Hi Ron, thanks for your question! The Motorola Pure is an updated model of phone so things like the camera, and screen resolution, are going to be improved, and it also offers a slightly larger screen. You can view all details for this phone though by going to our website here.

Can you transfer a land line number to a cell phone?

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

You can, William. The landline service just needs to remain active until the transfer has completed. I also recommend having a recent invoice on hand when you start the process, as your account information will be needed.

  31. Anthony Knable says

if I have a talk only plan, can I use Wifi on my phone?

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Definitely, Anthony. Wi-Fi is separate from our service and can be used on your phone even if you don’t have data with us.

  32. Dan says

I would like to use your videos to learn about my phone, but you don’t have any. My phone is a Link (not Link II).

  33. Donna O Allen says

I apologize if this was mentioned earlier, but there are so many posts here I could have missed it. I’m wondering if others are experiencing the screen freezing. I’ve never had this happen on any other phone but this has happened several times now and it’s very frustrating. It’s like you’re looking at a picture – no matter when you tap it does not respond but is completely frozen. The only way to get it back is to restart it, which takes time. It has even happened when I was in the middle of sending a reply text to someone. I’m concerned it could happen at a time when I need to make an emergency text or phone call. I’ve not had it long but wondering if I need to look for something else. I’ve even considered going back go my old iphone se 2016….any suggestions? Thank you!

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Hi Donna, we definitely want to help get that resolved. I recommend giving us a call at 888-345-5509 or chatting with us here.

  34. Martin Kennedy says

I have been with consumer cellular for 10 years. Walmart shows Consumer Cellular moto G pure for $79. I didn’t know that Walmart could sell consumer cellular phones. Am I missing something?

    • Great question, Martin. We have started selling our phones in some Walmart locations as an option to branch out. Not all Walmarts carry our phones though so you can double check if it’s one of our locations on our website here.
