We’re proud to support the important services provided by the people at Meals on Wheels.
Meals on Wheels programs nationwide are on the forefront of combating social isolation among older adults by delivering nutritious meals, and perhaps more importantly, a regular check-in. Their dedicated team of volunteers offer a warm hello and a source of companionship to those they serve. For many, the Meals on Wheels volunteer is the only person they interact with in a given day or week.
The demand for this critical service has grown tremendously with the COVID-19 pandemic, which has required more of our most vulnerable citizens to shelter in place. That’s why, in honor of Giving Tuesday, a worldwide day of global action supporting charities and non-profit organizations responding to COVID-19, Consumer Cellular will contribute $250,000 to match any donations made to Meals on Wheels on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. This means that between us, we have the chance to raise $500,000 in a single day!
Any amount you can contribute will make a difference to the millions of people across the country who benefit from Meals on Wheels, especially during these difficult times. And whatever you give, we’ll match it.
