Google Maps is an extremely helpful app, but what happens when you’re camping in a remote location where there’s no service or you want to conserve data?
Did you know you can save a Google map of your destination before you depart so you can view it offline later?
- Download and open the Google Maps app.
- Find the area/location you’ll be traveling to.
- Click the three dots in the lower-right of the screen.
- Select “Make available offline.”
The next time you’re heading off the grid or exploring a new place, save a map to your smartphone so you can quickly and easily familiarize yourself with the new area.
