The Simple Way to Organize Your Apps

Do you have so many apps that it gets hard to manage all of them? Then, this tip is important for you. As you probably know, just finding an app can be frustrating. One thing that really helps is to create folders for specific categories, instead of swiping across screens to find them. For example, create a “Finance” folder for your apps that are related to stocks, banks accounts, your budget or bill payment reminders. Or perhaps, a “Travel” folder for apps from airlines, hotels, rental car companies, etc.

Getting everything into place now can help you avoid some real headaches later.

For Android:

– Press and hold any app. A folder icon will appear on the screen.

– Drag the app to the folder icon.

– You will be asked to name the folder. Type in a name such as “Social Media.”

– Press OK.

– Now, you will see the folder on your app screen.

To add other apps to the folder, repeat the process above and choose the folder name.

For iPhone:

– Touch and drag an app onto another app to create a folder.

– Tap the name field to give the folder a name such as “Social Media.”

– Press the home button to save.

Are there any plans in the future for adding ipads or android tablets Wi-Fi & 3g/4g services to your line of products. I love your service and that would just make my life so much easier. Other companies are so expensive for just one item.

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for the suggestion, Maryann. At this time, we don’t really have a tablet option available. We appreciate you letting us know which products and services you would like as that helps us determine what new products to offer. I’ve sent your thoughts on to our management team, and if we do begin offering a tablet, we’ll be sure to let our customers know. Thank you again for commenting, and we hope you have a wonderful day!

I got the Sim card you send me today. When I called 611, your automated system ask me if I wanted to turn on my phone, I replied Yes. Your system only turned off my old piece of crap. Now I have no phone service. Fix the problem or I’m swatch to straight Talk.

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

We’re sorry for any confusion, Jim. There can be a brief delay when activating your SIM card. Please turn your new phone off, then back on again. Doing so will allow your SIM card to connect to the nearest tower with the strongest signal. Please also ensure that the SIM card is fully inserted in your new phone. We can also assist you via email if the problem continues. Just send us a message to [email protected]. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting this resolved for you! I’ve sent you an Email previously to find out if it is possible to purchase a Huawei Ascend Mate 2 at lower price than advertised?
I own a Samsung Galaxy Exhiliarte in perfect condition but I believe I can fight father time with a bigger phone which I could see better & type easier.

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for asking, Antonio. At this time, we don’t have any price reductions on the Ascend Mate 2. However, you can purchase the Mate 2 with EasyPay, our interest-free installment plan. You’ll just pay $100 for the phone to start, then $25 per month for five months. You can find out more here. We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us! The Mate 2 is an excellent smartphone, so we’re sure you would enjoy it!

Would you take my Samsung Galaxy exhilarate in trade in?

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for asking, Antonio. At this point in time, we don’t offer a trade-in program. There are a variety of organizations that accept donations or who will match you with a buyer for your phone, so we suggest seeing if such a program is available in your area. You people need to get more people in customer service or more phones, I am currently on hold going on 15 minutes and the last time I tried calling I hung up after 20 minutes. I need to know how to get my keyboard to come up on the Huawei Ascent mate 2.

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

We’re sorry for the long wait time, Arnold. We are hiring more representatives so that we can get our customers connected with an account advisor sooner. I was able to take a look at your account, and I see that Nicolette was able to help you troubleshoot the keyboard issue. I’m the broken record that comes around every 6 months or so… any updates on accepting PayPal?
Or, maybe there is a good reason that you won’t be using PayPal–I’m curious about that too.

        • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for checking in, Doug. At this time, we accept credit and debit cards as well as checks for account payments. We find that these options are the most convenient for the majority of our customers. If we introduce PayPal as an additional form of payment, we will be sure to let everyone know here on the blog.
