They’re back! Before I re-introduce them, I’d like to share one of the most popular questions we received about our first Connie and Jack commercial: “When can we expect to see more of Connie and Jack?”
The answer is now. We recently finished another commercial featuring our two favorite actors and it’s titled: “Out and About with Connie & Jack.” This time, instead of traveling around in their RV, they are home and walking their neighborhood on separate shopping trips looking for great deals. The only commercials that I don’t mind seeing. Consumer Cellular is one of those 1 in a million businesses that don’t lie or mislead in their commercials. I’ve never been happier with any business in my lifetime. I’ve gotten the help I need when I needed it, I’ve changed plans in the middle of billing periods, and the web site is easy to navigate. Finally, a company that actually treats customers like they say they will. I LOVE CC!!!

I can however, tell you that Connie has been on NBC’s Grimm and TNT’s Leverage. And Jack has made several appearances over the years, most notably on NBC’s The West Wing. Thanks again!

I knew I had seen them somewhere else in the media. Connie & Jack are among the more memorable ad couples. I still can remember Earl & Edna who advertised for Pontiac out here in Tidewater Virginia. Edna’s nagging and Earl’s unbelievable malapropisms instantly marked them as actors. And who remembers the late Jim Varney, who tried to hawk Toyota trucks from a Virginia dealer to his off-camera buddy Vern. We knew he was an actor but we loved it.
Connie & Jack, however, portray such an affable late 50s- or early 60s-something couple that they endear themselves to the CC customer base which is, well, let’s just say “over thirty”.
We anticipate more from the couple with no last name.
I adore Connie and jack, I think these two actors have great on screen chemistry so much more than most commercial couples!! Connie and Jack seem so natural together.

I thought I was all alone in my adoration of Connie and Jack and then I came across this page. Lol! Connie and Jack are wonderful and I love seeing them in the commercials! I am not close to retirement at all currently, but they make me look forward to what the future could have in store for my husband and I when we have raised our children. As I tell my husband often, “Connie and Jack or bust!”
I love Connie & Jack. The “On the Road” commercials are hilarious and the “Getting it Right” (garage sale) one was a riot too. LOL I agree with Alexis (above) about their chemistry. I was wondering if they were married in real life as they are so great together. 🙂

I, too, thought our household was alone in our near obsessive love of the On the Road commercial, and here are so many like-minded folks! Truly, it’s the chemistry of the actors, but don’t overlook the ‘terrific’ writing and direction. We love the banter between the two, the location photography, and the humor (Really, the binoculars joke kills me!). Hope to see more of these two. And who knows, we may even make the switch! That’s Timothy Busfield as Jack. Originally famous for Thirtysomething, later for West Wing. He’s great, watch his reaction shots. Real talent.
It’s not Timothy Busfield who plays Jack. As not to spoil it for others, I’ll only give his initials as being J B. I recognize the actor immediately on an episode of The Middle.
I love these commercials. It’s like the way I would think it would be chatting with them. Very informative with out confusion and pressure. Jack (Timothy) is just the cutest guy !

Robert! For shame! These ads are the finest in advertising! I watch a lot of ion television because I am cheap and refuse to pay for cable, and see these ads often and I am a huge fan of Jack & Connie. I liked the addition of Jack’s dad, too. Yes, it’s dorky to care about a commercial, but I don’t care. I like them, and no, I’m not a plant from the ad agency or Consumer Cellular.
Beware! They’re reeling you in; it happened to me too. After nearly two years of Connie & Jack
I became a CC-ite. That’s cool with me as I don’t miss those high fees I was shucking out to
those other companies.
These are about the only commercials I don’t turn off. Connie and Jack rock.
We love the commercials because they show places that we want to travel to as well. We would like to know where some of these places are so we can visit too!

I agree with the other comments that connie and jack could have a sitcom.the writing would have to be good chemistry between actors is not enough to carry a tv show,my son and I were wondering where the commercials were filmed,he guessed Portland or Salem Oregon,or Washington state,his guess turned out to be a good one I guess…

I never get tired of the Connie and jack commercials. Connie and Jack remind me of the great chemistry that James Garner and Mariette Hartley had in the Polaroid commercials in the 70’s.
I forgot to mention also that couple who did the coffee commercial (showin’ my age, eh?).
If I remember, either both or just one had a British accent. They didn’t portray a married couple or
even a dating twosome, but the underlying romantic tension was steamier than the coffee! I cannot remember the coffee product, but who could forget the couple and the lengthy series of spots they made, those which endeared us more to the couple than to the joe.
Connie and Jack, on the other hand, are just as endearing, but I’m hardly apt to forget what they’re
promoting. Hold on while I take another sip of coffee.
Can’t stand them. All these positives were probably solicited from their friends.
I love the couple….nice chemistry…playfulness…all the right things a loving couple needs to portray what I would want in my life…they would make a great sitcom together.

Is that area behind that actor in the “Jack Plan” commercial Belleview WA (Seattle area)? My husband keeps telling me that it looks like that, and wondering if that’s true. If not we’d really like to know where those beautiful sunlit apartment buildings are, it might be nice to visit or live there some day.

I’ve noticed a change in the character (jack) appearance in the new consumer cellular commercia….he looks to be 10 – 20lbs thinner as if he has been ill recently – just curious if he is dealing with an illness or just decided to drop a few pounds.

I’m actually not a big fan of the commercials, but I do follow actors and careers. “Jack” got on my nerves in the first edition, however I was shocked and saddened to see the weight loss in #2 and hoped nothing serious had happened with the actor’s health. Glad to hear he’s just made lifestyle changes and is still in good health…now, I’m looking forward to Jack and Connie part three lol.

I love consumer cellular but as I was “browsing” on the world wide web I could not find a consumer cellular fan club for me to join. I want to be able to retwitter updates and information like my grandson talks about when he’s always on his phone. Also, is there a clyde fan club?

They act and sound like a married couple and I think they are great. After seeing the commercial several times I dropped my
Verizon contract and went to Consumer Cellular. Love the phone and the low costs and they are very reliable.
I am responding because these commercials rank in the top for the most annoying. They are unbelievable and the acting is poor. I don’t find them adorable. Mentally challenged is more like it as they cross the nation to disprove that jack is not the number one FAN of a telephone company that is mediocre at best and has more complaints than any other one. I don’t even consider consumer cellular because of the frequent ads and annoying idiocy. Because a man still uses a basic cellephone he is Jack’s “My man!”

Jack comes off as a real dork in these commercials (“I believe I’m CC’s biggest fan”). Who would care about that, in real life? By no means do these commercials rate as clever. Judging by the favorable response to this tv commercial couple. there must be far more fuddie duddies out there than I ever imagined.

Found this link because my husband and I enjoy these commercials, too, and we were speculating if the actress was Sheila McCarthy. Now we know she is not, and will watch for Connie and Jack elsewhere, too. We also enjoy the settings chosen and appreciate hearing where some are. Maybe your creative team making future commercials could put a tipoff in the commercials concerning where they are located, would keep a little more buzz going. If you have to watch commercials, these are kind of fun ones to follow!

Bring back Jack and Connie! These new commercials are super boring and the actors don’t do any justice for Consumer Cellular. In fact, as soon as the commercial comes on I either flip the channel or mute it. The Jack and Connie ones were always entertaining, interesting and attention grabbing. Now that I we are ready to step into the realm of Consumer Cellular, I have been watching for their commercials which feature Connie and Jack so they get credit for earning our business, but all I see are various commercials with other people that mean nothing to us! No personality! We are not going to support the new actors with our new business. We will have to put off our switching to Consumer Cellular until we see Connie and Jack again so they get the credit for the increase in your customer base. Until then, our cellular business will have to stay where it is. Sorry, but whoever made the decision to drop Connie and Jack should have to suffer the consequences.

Jack and Connie were the best actors for your commercials. People related to them because they look like people you could run into anywhere. While I understand your marketing team is using new faces to bring in new users it would be a good idea to still do a new Jack and Connie commercial so we can see “what they are up to now”. The demand for them is so high it would be stupid not to give the people what they want. I use to love your commercials and enjoyed watching the “realistic” banter between them. Now your commercials are boring and I change the channel. Up to you. It’s a no brainier to me.
