My mom and dad are currently CS users.
My mother’s phone acts up and does not hold a charge.
Are either of them eligible for replacement phones.
They both currently use the flip style phone.
They are both in their mid 80’s.
Thank you, for any and all assistance.

Thank you for asking, Edmund. At this time, we do not offer a device upgrade program, though we do offer two very affordable flip phone options. The first is the Consumer Cellular 101, which you can learn more about here on our website. We also offer the Doro 626, which is a flip phone designed specifically with seniors in mind. It has a big screen, large buttons and even an emergency contact button. You can learn more about it here. I am a senior and have tried a couple of smartphones but do not like any I’ve tried. I don’t use my phone except for calls and some texting (also photos). I am looking for the simplest phone that fills that bill, What do you suggest and what is the cost?

      reply to Gwyn

      • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Hi Gwyn, we have a variety of smartphones that would do all of what you’re looking for and they can all be found here. However, if you give our customer service team a call at 888-345-5509 we would be happy to go over what you didn’t like about previous smartphones you used to narrow it down to one that best fits your needs.

I have a hard time reading small letters, is there any large screen phones avaliable?

    reply to Em

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

We appreciate the interest, Em. If you need a phone with a larger display, then I would recommend our Doro 7050. This phone has an easy-to-read to display with larger text, as well as larger buttons on the keypad.

I’ve had a real difficult 2 yrs with phones and wifi. Unhelpful at& t agents? And losing our landline after 15 yrs with Comcast super disappointed. My other half misses our old phone. Doesn’t even care about the boost phone he has. Do you make a landline phone?

    reply to Kimberly

    • Hi Kimberly, thanks for your interest! We don’t offer free service, but we do have plans starting for as low as $20 a month plus tax for talk, text, and data. You can view all of our plan options by going to our website here. We are having a giveaway for a free phone on our Facebook page, however, outside of this, we don’t offer a free phone any longer. This post is actually from 2011 and the offer is no longer valid. We do have new phones starting for as low as $30 though if you’d like to view the phone options we have, go to our website here.
