I am a senior and have tried a couple of smartphones but do not like any I’ve tried. I don’t use my phone except for calls and some texting (also photos). I am looking for the simplest phone that fills that bill, What do you suggest and what is the cost?

      Gwyn

      • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Hi Gwyn, we have a variety of smartphones that would do all of what you’re looking for and they can all be found here. However, if you give our customer service team a call at 888-345-5509 we would be happy to go over what you didn’t like about previous smartphones you used to narrow it down to one that best fits your needs.

I have a hard time reading small letters, is there any large screen phones avaliable?

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

We appreciate the interest, Em. If you need a phone with a larger display, then I would recommend our Doro 7050. This phone has an easy-to-read to display with larger text, as well as larger buttons on the keypad.

I’ve had a real difficult 2 yrs with phones and wifi. Unhelpful at& t agents? And losing our landline after 15 yrs with Comcast super disappointed. My other half misses our old phone. Doesn’t even care about the boost phone he has. Do you make a landline phone?

    • Hi Kim, thanks for your question. We don’t have landline handsets that we sell, we do offer the ZTE Home Base though which can have landline sets plugged in and work with it. You can find more information on it by going to our website here.

You can view all of our plan options by going to our website here. We are having a giveaway for a free phone on our Facebook page, however, outside of this, we don’t offer a free phone any longer. I have an Apple SE that I just bought. Having problems with the service due to no Wi-Fi in my apartment. I need to go outside to be able to use my phone.
My friend told me she got your plan for $33 a month text talking data unlimited. Problem is I have to pay off the new phone I bought with T-Mobile before I can go to your service plan. Do you buy out my new phone and add the monthly cost to my bill.
I live in Spring Hill Florida

  13. Judy B Cooper says

I need to replace my ZTE as I understand it does not have enough memory and and I can’t access the camera many times. I only have fb on it, no other apps. I have already replace the SD card twice in the last year but has not helped. Also understand ZTE is questionable product after I purchased it of course. I want a reasonable phone with enough memory to take pictures, have fb, and other apps. I wish to continue coverage with Consumer Cellular as the service has been good. What phones would you suggest that I can easily transfer what I have as far as contacts, pictures, fb?

    • Hi Judy, that’s definitely frustrating and I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’ve had! When picking out a new phone, it’s going to depend on the brand and your price point that you’re going to want to stay in. If you’d like, you can view all of our phone options by going to our website here. If you have any questions on the phones, just let us know.

  14. Bonnie Reese says

Hi my name is Mary I was wondering does any of your flip phones have like messanger or face chat on them so you can see the people you are talking to and they can see you?I’m 65 years old and live alone and it gets really lonely and it’s even worst now cause of this Covid-19.I have my adult children,my adult grandchildren, and my great grandchildren I hardly see anymore. It sure would make me very Happy to see all of them again especially the little ones.I hope you could help me out.Thank You.

    • Hi Mary, thanks for your question! None of our flip phones have the FaceTime option or a messenger application, you can text message on our flip phones though. If you use one of our smartphones though, you can use different apps that would allow you to video chat or download different messenger apps.

  20. Franck says

I have service with Consumer Cellular using the flip phone CC 101. I have been informed that this model will no longer transmit and accept calls unless I purchase a new phone. What is the reason for that?

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Hi Franck, that is because 3G service is being phased out nationwide across all carriers. In order for a phone to work on our service with the network changes, it needs to be VoLTE-capable. All of the phones we currently have available here are VoLTE-capable.
