It is 4D LTE, with 5G coming on board will it perform on 5G networks so that we will not have to replace it to another phone soon?
Is it better than the Samsung Galaxy S8?

    reply to Gary

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Hi Gary, while the Samsung Galaxy A01 has similar specs to the Samsung Galaxy S8, it is a budget-friendly model compared to the S-series models. The A01 is not a 5G phone, but we don’t expect 4GLTE service to be phased out anytime soon.

Will I be able to operate my hearing aids from this phone

    reply to Richard

    • Hi Richard, thanks for your question! If you use Bluetooth with your hearing aids, then you would be able to connect it using that. If you use an app for your hearing aids, you would just need to make sure the app is able to be used with the current version of the Android software and download it.

I have a Galazy S5. Will it work with the new 5 G or will I have to upgrade to a new phone.

    reply to Cheryl

    • Hi Cheryl, thanks for your question. If the Samsung S5 is VoLTE capable, as well as being unlocked from a previous provider, and GSM-compatible, it may work on our network. We can’t guarantee compatibility for all models but we’ll do all we can to see if it will work on our network. If you have any questions about the compatibility the phone matching the requirements, we’d recommend reaching out to the carrier it was purchased from to check and see if it meets those.

We purchased 2 Galaxy A01 phones less than a year ago and are constantly running out of storage. I tried adding an SD card but none of the apps are able to be moved over and there are numerous preloaded apps that are not able to be uninstalled. What can I do to make the phone usable for apps?

    reply to Jerry

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Hi Jerry, if your apps aren’t able to be moved to the microSD card, then you’ll need to move other files, such as photos. We’re happy to help with that if you give us a call at 888-345-5509 or chat with us here.
