    Have a ‘Jitterbug’ phone thru Great Call!! Paying over $42 a month! Can I still use your service with My Jitterbug ???Your $25 a month plan seems to be Much Better,almost 1/2 the price each month !!

In general, phones used previously with other carriers can be used with our SIM card as long as they are unlocked and use GSM technology, but we aren’t able to guarantee that your Jitterbug will work with our service. We do offer the Doro 626, which is a flip phone with large buttons and an emergency feature. You can learn more about it here on our website.     I took over my husband’s phone.Where my app is for Consumer Cellular is on the front screen, it keeps saying “Loading” and does not go any further. Can you be of assistance and correct this. Thank you.

      Thank you for posting, Marydi. I was able to review your account, and it looks like the phone you’re using now is the Motorola Moto G4. If you’re experiencing issues with the My CC app, please try pressing and holding the app on the screen until you see an option to “Uninstall” appear in the top right corner. You can then search for the app again in the Play Store and download it from there. If that doesn’t resolve the problem, please call us at 888-345-5509 and we troubleshoot further.     I currently have a basic phone with Verizon. If I get service with CC with a new number, temporarily keeping my account with Verizon, can I later transfer my number from Verizon to my CC account and stop using the new CC number? I want to do this because I want to make sure my reception with CC is good in the place(s) I need it before I end my Verizon account. Either way, I want to end up with my current number. If yes, could I transfer the number after only a month or so?

    Thanks again. I now have my Moto E4 Plus activated and my Verizon Extravert 2 is still active. Can you give me detailed instructions on transferring contacts from the Extravert to the Moto? The Extravert doesn’t use a sim card.

    I currently am using Tracfone, but wish to change to CC. First off can I keep the phone number from Tracfone? Are contacts from a LG smartphone from TF transferable to CC phone, and lastly will CC smartphone support the ‘WhatsApp’ ?

      We’re happy to answer all of your questions, Bob. First, you can keep your phone number. You’ll just need your Tracfone account information in order for us to transfer it. It’s best if you have a previous invoice handy when you sign up, as that will have all of the information we need. Next, if you’re using an Android smartphone currently, you can back up your contacts using that account. That way, you can sign into your new phone with the same Gmail account and your contacts will transfer automatically. If that isn’t an option, you can often transfer your contacts via Bluetooth as well. We’re happy to assist you with this over the phone if you run into any issues.
