If you ever lost your smartphone, how could someone who found it contact you, especially if you’ve locked the screen?
Did you know Android devices allow users to display contact information on the lock screen?
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap “Security.”
- Tap “Screen Security.”
- Tap “Owner info.”
- Enter any contact information you’re comfortable posting on your lock screen (choose from name, email address, or phone number).
You’ve just made it easier for someone to contact you if your phone is ever lost. Please note: If your Android device is running a previous version of the operating system (Ice Cream Sandwich or earlier), there are several custom lock screen apps available to download for free. Just search for “free lock screen” in the Google Play Store.
