Tips on Conserving Energy

Hello Valued Customers and other allies in the fight to conserve energy. It’s Pat from Customer Service, again. We recently completed and posted a short video (see below) about how you can reduce your energy consumption. In working on this video, I was surprised to learn about something villainous called “phantom energy.” Quite frankly, it’s an unnecessary evil and minimizing its impact takes very little effort; you don’t even have to be a cape-wearing superhero.     Thanks, knew about this. But you would be surprise to know how many people leave their charger in the electrical outlet. I would this this is dangerous and could cause harm.

    I ordered my consumer celluar phone last saturday May 19 2012 and it is now May 25, 2012, and I still have not got my phone in the mail yet.

    Pat, Thank you for the tip, but I have always done that, because I heard from someone, just what you said, that the charger gets too warm and that in my opinion is not really safe.

      One of the dangers with the charger and battery becoming too warm, is that it also can decrease the life span of your phone and battery.

    I usually use a USB from my computer to charge the phone. The light goes out when it's done, and the phone does no more charging.

    It would help, when using an outlet to charge, if the charger were a 'smart' or 'switching' charger, which knows when it's finished and stops drawing power. Care should be taken to obtain a well-designed unit, however, or the power factor can be poor.

    I have tryed about 4 times to buy 2 text ringtones. You always text me back with this very long web address. I put it in my computer and nothing happens.I have one of your senior phones.I want to know if I can buy ringtones on my phone.Donot like to call so can you please e-mail me and tell me what to do. thank you,betty malicoat

      Downloading ringtones is a little different for each phone. The URL that is sent to you in the text message is what your phone needs to go to, not your computer. I understand that you may not like to call, but it really is the easiest way for us to walk you through the download process.

    • Hi Josh, thank you for your blog post! Shipping time will depend on the method selected. If you select our free, standard shipping it will arrive within 3-5 business days. Otherwise, our $10 expedited shipping will have it there in 1-2 business days.
