    I’m hoping that Consumer Cellular would add the Caller ID feature. Without Caller ID, nobody would want to answers any call these days.

      I am with you on this matter. I am thinking of switching to another carrier from Consumer Cellular because of the lack of caller ID call waiting features without the name. I avoid answering lots of call without names and have missed very important calls because of this. Consumer Cellular refused to entertain to my concern.

      • Hi M A O, I completely understand that concern. Because Consumer Cellular is a reseller, we have very little that we can customize in terms of caller ID. The feature that we do offer is designed to show whatever the landline companies or cell phone companies have on file for that contact.     If I get a 2 phone plan, I assume each phone has to have its own separate number, is that true?

    Is there a charge for consumer cellular to give me phone numbers for my phones?

    If my chosen plan has for example, 250 min. per mo. or 2 GB per mo., is that the amount for each of the phones on the plan?

    Are minutes used up while browsing the web or sending emails?

      Hi JD, we appreciate your interest in our service. If you have two lines of service on your account, they both would have separate numbers and there is no charge for us to assign numbers to the new lines. Additionally, all services are shared between all lines on the account by default, so they would share minutes, texting, and data. If you would like them to have their own specific plan, then you can request the rate plans to be separated when speaking with an agent. Minutes are only used when making calls, whereas data is used when you are browsing the web or sending emails.

    Why can’t I switch over to a 4 line family plan with your service. They ported 3 numbers over and told me I had to wait 50 days for the fourth line. This is stupid. It doesn’t say anywhere in the literature I have to wait 50 days.

    • Hi David, we appreciate your feedback on this. The credit check done is what helps to decide the number of lines we can have active on an account when it is first set up. Reviewing your account, I do see that we have four active lines there for you at this time.     I am wanting to buy my grandson a new phone, apple13 and add him to my service. Can he have his same number or will he have to get a new one? Is it best to go to a store rather than online? And can I add GB’s for him to have more?
