One Month Of Great Wireless, Free & Easy!

Here’s a terrific way to connect everyone you know with outstanding Consumer Cellular wireless service and great savings. During our “First Month Free” promotion, running August 15th—September 30th, you’ll receive a $15 credit on your next invoice for every new line you add to your account. Our normal additional line fee is $15 a month, so with this special credit you’re getting your first month for free! But the savings don’t end there: by adding lines for family and friends to your account, they can share all the minutes, texts, and data on your already low-cost Talk and Connect plans, and calls between phones on the same account are always free.

Additionally, if you know someone who maybe just isn’t satisfied with their current wireless service, let them know about this opportunity, too—new customers switching to Consumer Cellular during this time get their first month of service free on any plan they choose. Plus, don’t forget that anytime you send a friend or family member our way, both you and they qualify for our “Refer A Friend” bonus. You’ll each receive a $10 credit once their new service has been activated with us. That benefit applies year-round, so be sure to tell everyone you know how much you enjoy having Consumer Cellular wireless service.

Passing on these special savings is another chance for us to say thank you for being our customer. Add lines for family members or friends—or tell a friend to consider starting new service—to enjoy one month for free! Just be sure to do it by September 30th, 2018 to take advantage of this limited-time offer.

My sister is in a nursing home and has a flip phone thru Verizon. Can her flip phone be used on my plan with you

    reply to William.

    • Hi William, thanks for asking. To be compatible with our service, your sister’s phone needs to be unlocked and capable of taking a SIM card. Phones from Verizon don’t always have the ability to use a SIM card, so you would need to double check. If her phone isn’t compatible, we do offer flip phones starting at just $30 + tax. Please let us know if you have any other questions, you can also give us a call at 888-345-5509.

Thanks for asking, Rosie! Our SIM card can be used with most unlocked GSM smartphones, such as those that use the AT&T or T-Mobile networks. Great question, Judy! Many of our customers use an iPhone they already have with our SIM card option. iPhones do use SIM cards, and it’s easy to switch to our SIM card in just a few quick steps. One question: if I buy the SIM at Target I heard from a friend you get a credit back for the price paid; is that true? Thanks

I have been with Verizon forever…long before they were Verizon. My bills are roughly $145,00 a month for two phones. I think they might have a cancellation fee, do you know anything about getting that waived?

    reply to Peggy

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thanks for posting, Peggy. It certainly sounds like you would be saving money with Consumer Cellular if you make the switch. I have a LG STYLO 2 and would like to know if I can switch phones. I don’t know if it is locked I purchased it from sprint?

    reply to Sharon

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Sharon. Many of our customers have been successful in using a phone from a previous carrier with our service. To be compatible with our SIM card, the device will need to be fully unlocked by the original carrier, and use GSM technology. A good example would be a device used previously with AT&T or T-Mobile. We recommend reaching out to your previous carrier to have the phone unlocked, as unfortunately, we aren’t able to do that for you. Once you’ve confirmed that the phone is unlocked, we recommend trying it with our SIM card to see if it’s a good fit. We’re happy to answer any other questions you may have at 888-345-5509. We appreciate you reaching out to us, and we hope you have a great day!

I need clarification on Best Buy’s involvement with CC. I went to two different stores; one told me that they have no affiliation with CC. The other said they could sell me the SIM cards and perhaps put it in my phone. I would then have to call CC to activate my service and set up my account. Please confirm if what I was told is correct.
So if I purchase the SIM card from Best Buy will I still be eligible for the first month free promotion, no activation fee, credit for the purchase price of the SIM card and the AARP discount? Please explain.

    reply to Mohan

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

We’re happy to help answer your questions, Mohan. Our products are offered in over 350 Best Buy stores around the country, and you can purchase our SIM card there at your convenience. Once you have the SIM card in hand, you can call us to activate it and start service. You’ll still be eligible for the First Month Free promotion, there won’t be an activation fee, you’ll receive a $10 credit for the purchase of the SIM card, and you can receive the monthly AARP member discount.
