    My sister is in a nursing home and has a flip phone thru Verizon. Can her flip phone be used on my plan with you

    • Hi William, thanks for asking. To be compatible with our service, your sister’s phone needs to be unlocked and capable of taking a SIM card. Phones from Verizon don’t always have the ability to use a SIM card, so you would need to double check. If her phone isn’t compatible, we do offer flip phones starting at just $30 + tax. Many of our customers find that the real benefit to our plans is the ability to change as needed if they use less data than expected.     WE are considering changing to Consumer Cellular, and wish to keep our current phone numbers. If we buy new I phones can we do this?     Currently on Big Red, with my contract up on September 9th. Will be at the local Target to purchase my SIM and have my recently purchased unlocked Moto G6 and number moved to Consumer Cellular! If the service is as good as Consumer Reports says it is, my wife will follow in 60 days.
    One question: if I buy the SIM at Target I heard from a friend you get a credit back for the price paid; is that true? Thanks

    I have been with Verizon forever…long before they were Verizon. My bills are roughly $145,00 a month for two phones. I think they might have a cancellation fee, do you know anything about getting that waived?

To be compatible with our SIM card, the device will need to be fully unlocked by the original carrier, and use GSM technology. A good example would be a device used previously with AT&T or T-Mobile. We recommend reaching out to your previous carrier to have the phone unlocked, as unfortunately, we aren’t able to do that for you. Once you’ve confirmed that the phone is unlocked, we recommend trying it with our SIM card to see if it’s a good fit. We’re happy to answer any other questions you may have at 888-345-5509.     I need clarification on Best Buy’s involvement with CC. I went to two different stores; one told me that they have no affiliation with CC. The other said they could sell me the SIM cards and perhaps put it in my phone. I would then have to call CC to activate my service and set up my account. Please confirm if what I was told is correct.
    So if I purchase the SIM card from Best Buy will I still be eligible for the first month free promotion, no activation fee, credit for the purchase price of the SIM card and the AARP discount? Please explain.

    I would just like to know why there are so very many pop-up ads when I’m trying to use my phone. I can’t even answer a call because ads pop up in the way. I have anxiety – very bad – and I think I am going to have to leave consumer cellular because of this. I’ll pay $5 more a month to not have these awful ads all the time. I’m on a damn fixed income and buy NOTHING beyond food and rent anyway.
