NO-INTEREST FINANCING NOW AVAILABLE ON MORE DEVICES

Our focus at Consumer Cellular has always been on making wireless service affordable for everyone. From offering flexible monthly plans with no contract to providing special discounts to AARP members, we’ve always featured innovative ways of delivering top value to our customers.

With that in mind, I’m pleased to announce that we’re expanding our unique 0% interest financing option, EasyPay, to help offset the rising costs of new devices. For customers who qualify, EasyPay financing is now available on all Apple, Samsung, and Motorola smartphones that we offer, as well as our GrandPad tablet.

Beginning this month, down payments for these devices are as low as $10. The remaining balance due is paid in installments, starting as low as $5 a month, simply added to your monthly invoice. Best of all, with EasyPay financing there is absolutely no interest—you simply pay the amount due for the device you purchased, spread over time for added convenience.

Next time you’re shopping for a new phone or other device, be sure to look for our EasyPay financing option. Whether you’re in the market for a flagship smartphone like the iPhone 11 ($35 down, $35 monthly payment, no interest), a budget model like the Samsung Galaxy J3 ($10 down, $5 monthly payment, no interest) or anything in between, we’re making it easier to get the device that’s just right for you.

I’m still not sure what my payments would be with you got unlimited texting and unlimited talking. Right now with Verizon I have my new IPad of 1 year and paying $102.00 a month. I’m told from a friend in Oklahoma it’s outrageous and to check with your company. He’s been with you for a few years and happy with your service.

    • Hi Beverly, great question, thanks for taking the time to post! All of our data plans actually come with Unlimited Texting so the price of service will depend on what exact plan is selected. If you’d like, you can view all of our plan selections and their pricing by going to our website here. If you have any questions, let us know! We can be reached over the phone at 800-686-4460 or you can also chat with one of our live agents here.

it would be great if you offered a better option for a flip phone.the dora is pretty cheap. I only had my other one for seven months and the buttons were sticking. I would gladly pay for a better qualitv flip phone

    • Hi Lance, thanks for your post. We appreciate your feedback on our flip phones and I have forwarded it on so that we can look into this for the future. We do also offer our Consumer Cellular Link as another flip phone option. If you’re interested in more information on that, visit our website here.

I’m currently with AT&T with my son and his family. However, i would like to continue to use my iApple phone 7 plus. With UNLIMITED talk & text. I am on a fixed income and want to know exactly what my monthly bill will. Do you do credit checks? i ask because i have my three major credit reporting agencies locked, as my credit cards have been comprised many times and fraudulently used. Last one was from Kuwait.

    • Hi Sylvia, great questions. To start off, if you want to use your iPhone you will want to make sure it’s unlocked from AT&T and GSM-compatible. We can’t guarantee that all models will work, but we’ve had good experiences in the past with iPhones switching over as long as the mentioned criteria is met. The cost for service is going to depend on the exact plan that is selected for your account. If you’d like to see all of our plan options, visit our website here for more details. We do run a credit check at the time that you’re signing up with us.

My question is this. If I start a text and then decide I don’t want to send it, how do I clear it from my phone? I have a Samsung Galaxy A-20

    • Hi Robert, great question! If the message doesn’t have a recipient, tapping on the back arrow will give you the option to discard it immediately. If it does have a contact listed, press on the back arrow and it’ll show you the list of messages you have. In the top right, there are three dots going in a line, tap on this and select delete. You can then select to delete any messages that are no longer needed.

Hi. I’d like to see a unlimited data plan someday. And go from 3gb to 5gb.

My husband and I too used to have ATT until recently, was paying way too much. However, before leaving ATT, I made sure that I wrote down the PUK codes for our iPhones that are all paid for. My question is, if I were to sign my husband onto my CC account, could you send a simcard and walk us through on how to use the PUK code so that he can use his perfectly good iPhone? Thank you ahead of time.

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Hi MaryRay, a PUK code is used to unlock a SIM card and is generally used in the event that you get locked out of your phone due to security features in place, such as the phone locking after entering the passcode incorrectly too many times. This changes with each SIM card.

If you instead need your phones unlocked at a network level to be used with another provider, such as us, then you would just need to reach out to AT&T if that’s where you purchased the phones and ask them to unlock the phones for you. This process generally doesn’t require any code for iPhones. Apple also has some information about this process on their website here.

Will a Great Call Jitterbug Smart 2 phone work on your Consumer Cellular Service? It is an android type of phone. If not, do you have anything like this phone, with simple list-based menus for seniors that are not flip-phone style?

    • Hi Doug, thanks for your post. If the phone is an unlocked, VoLTE-capable, GSM-compatible phone, it may work on our network. We can’t guarantee compatibility for all models, and we haven’t had a lot of luck with switching Jitterbug phones to our service, but we can definitely give it a try and we’ll do all we can to see if it’s possible. We don’t have any list-based phones, however, our Samsung phones do have an Easy Mode that can be enabled that makes the screens very simple to interact with if needed.

      • Doug Primavera says

Thank you Jacob for your timely reply. Can you pass on my suggestion for CC to come up with their own version of this type of phone? CC would always be able to have it in stock and I am sure that your customers would love it. Thank you.

I find your website to be difficult to get where I want to go. I log on, look for my cart, where is it? Same when I want to browse for a new phone without entering “replace my phone.” Not so consumer friendly.

    • Hi Ed, thanks for reaching out regarding this. I’ve gone ahead and sent your feedback up to my technical team so that we can look into this for moving forward with our website. We appreciate your feedback on this and if you do still need assistance with anything, please feel free to give us a call at 800-686-4460 or you can also chat with us here for further assistance.

My room-mate has an LG smartphone. He has NEVER been able to access the internet inside our home (mobile home). Due to the COVID-19 crisis, my employer handed me a laptop and an AT&T mobile wifi hotspot. One day, we got curious. So I had my roommate log into my wifi. To our amazement, he can access the internet anywhere in our home now. Sooner or later, I will have to return to my office. When I do, I would like to have a mobile wifi hotspot of our own, so that he can CONTINUE to access the internet at home. Can you PLEASE provide us with one, or tell us WHERE we can get one?

    • Hi Richard, thanks for your blog post. We don’t offer a hotspot device at this time, but we can enable the tethering feature for the smartphone, and look into why the LG phone is having trouble with connecitng to data for moving forward. Have him give us a call at 800-686-4460 or he can also chat with us here for further assistance.

How good does your credit has to be to be approved? My phone was recently stolen and I need a phone ASAP. New customer.

    • Hi ClassyLynese, thanks for your interest! The credit check won’t deny you service, what it does is helps us to determine payment options for the account, and whether the EasyPay option will be available or if we need to establish a payment history with you.

  21. Ashleigh says

I’m a senior & have been with ATT for over 25 years. I have 2 lines. I recently upgraded my cell & I-pad & setup on installment plans for each. If I switch to CC will CC pay off those plans to ATT & then set me up or do my devices need to be paid in full before I switch?
