Consumer Cellular Named Top Value Provider by New York Times

It was a tremendous honor recently to find Consumer Cellular’s monthly plans featured prominently in the New York Times. We were included in the paper’s “Tech Fix” column for offering the best wireless packages for couples, and for families.

Data for the article was compiled by the research company Alekstra, which studies phone bills, in conjunction with the Times’ Wirecutter product review website. They teamed up to identify cellphone plans that were a good value for what they termed “some typical lifestyles.”

The specific Consumer Cellular plans highlighted are:

  • A two-line plan, including unlimited talk and 10GB of data for $65 a month, was found to be “the best plan for couples.”
  • A four-line plan, with unlimited talk and 20GB of data for $105 a month, was selected as “the best plan for a family of four”.  

The Times’ findings underscore the importance we’ve always placed on making our plans a great deal for the whole family. Adding lines for family members or friends is just $15 a month, per line.
