MORE DATA FOR YOU WITH NO PRICE INCREASE

You might notice some amazing changes to our monthly plans! The exciting news is that we are now offering more data on almost all of our plans with no price increase. We are still focused on offering a wide variety of plans, from 1GB all the way to unlimited, giving you the best value for your specific needs.

In addition to adding more data, we are also lowering the price of our Unlimited plan from $55 to $50. For customers who love the freedom of using their device as much as they want, they now can while also saving money!

You can view all of our updated plans on our website, and see how much you can save by adding multiple lines to your account. Add lines to your account for just $15 a month per line, and share the talk, text and data on your monthly plan. For instance, a shared 10GB data plan with unlimited talk and text is just $27.50 per line each month for a couple—or $23.33 per line for a family of three!

As always, we offer flexible monthly plans, with no contract and you can change your plan to fit your needs as often as you like, without any fees or penalties. How do I get app for Consumer Cellular

  4. Sharon says

Went to Target in Myrtle Beach SC they advertise the Dora 7050 flip phone they said it had been discontinued for 2 years but was still advertising the phone needless to say my husband is handicapped and has a hard time seeing the screen so this phone would have been great and I hate to say this but I was a big Karen if you do not carry something do not advertise it thank you todays date 10/4/2022

    • Hi Sharon, I apologize for the miscommunication that’s taken place. We’re no longer offering, or advertising, that phone. If you look on our website, it is not listed there either as a phone we carry. We do offer the Consumer Cellular Link II as an option though and you can find more information on it on our website here.

  5. Richard C Silvestri says

My wife has a plan with you and I’m considering adding my AT&T phone to it. She used 363 mB data last month, first bill with a smart phone and I use about 1Gb monthly. What is cost of a sensible plan for us, unlimited talk and text? And I want to keep my number or change at most from 404 AC to 772 AC, but keep same remaining seven (7) digits, if available.

    • Hi Richard, thanks for your interest in our service! A big part of selecting the plan is how much data is used. If you use about the same amount of data as your wife, I’d recommend just keeping the plan as is and adding your line. If you’d like though, you can take a look at our current plans on our website here.

  6. Myra Carpenter says

Nice for heavier data users, but it would have been thoughtful if you’d tossed a bone to us 1 Gb users also. Nevertheless I still think Consumer Cellular is the best!

  7. Bill says

Our two flip phones have been out of order for the past 8 hours and there is no way to talk to someone because I am unable to use you chat line until tomorrow morning. This is unacceptable. I have many medical problems, and if I needed to call for an ambulance its not happening. You may need to think about customer needs in an emergency.

    • Hi Bill, thanks for your feedback on our hours. I have passed your concerns along internally for going forward in the future. If you’re continuing to have trouble with service, I would recommend calling us from a different line at 800-686-4460 or chat with one of our live agents on our website here to follow up.

  8. Janice Morelock says

Is the extra data being added to the accounts of old customers or is this only if you sign up new? So far, my account hasn’t been changed.

    • Hi Janice, that’s a great question! You’ll need to actually go in and select that new plan option. You can do this if you go to your online account, or if you need some help with that, give us a call at 800-686-4460 or chat with one of our live agents on our website here.

  9. James McCloskey says

Have you recently lowered the monthly charge for a second line?

Please let me know different plans available to me.

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Hi Iris, our data plans are listed in the blog post above but you can also check out our plans here.

  12. Jerry says

The wonderful, but hard to comprehend, news for old 3 GB plan users is a $15 per month INCREASE IF you manually change the plan OR if you go over 3 and the auto-changer upgrades you. In any case, you will have lost the 3 GB plan and will pay $15 per month more.

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Hi Jerry, if you change from the old 3GB plan to 5GB, there is not a $15 increase. If you have any questions about changing your plan, you can give us a call at 888-345-5509 or chat with us here.

  13. Jerry says

Hi Nicole, Thank you for going above and beyond by emailing me the correct price breakdown. Yes, Consumer Cellular has made a good deal even better. I was wrong, and I apologize. Over the years we’ve told plenty of friends and others how much we liked CC, and we still do! Great company, great people!
    Jerry

  14. Phil says

No increase for the 1G data tier. It skips from 1G to 5G. Why not increase 1G to 3G? Even 2G would be appreciated.

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Thanks for taking the time to post, Phil. Our plans are structured based on feedback we’ve received so we can continue to offer the best value. I appreciate you sharing your perspective and will pass your feedback along for consideration in the future.

  15. Steve Silva says

    I have no service

    • That’s definitely frustrating, Steve. We’d be happy to look into this for you if you’re still having trouble with that. Give us a call from a different phone at 800-686-4460 or chat with one of our live agents on our website here for further assistance.

  16. Mary Anne Crecelius says

Off the topic of increased data, I once again am annoyed at the fact that CC insists on showing a total payment after the transaction is completed that includes only the cost for the service and NOT the total including taxes and fees. I would like a confirmation of the amount that is being charged to my credit card, not just the “service details”. Every other company I deal with seems to understand this basic fact of record keeping.

    • Hi Mary Anne, thanks for your feedback on this. You can view the total payment on your monthly invoice once it generates. You can also view your full balance on your account once it generates by going to your online account. If you have any trouble or have questions about the breakdown of your invoice, give us a call at 800-686-4460 or chat with one of our live agents on our website here to follow up.

Does your $25 per month plan with 5GB data include a mobile hotspot? And, you begin each month with a full 5GB?

  18. Dan Mack says

Why is it not possible to have two cell phones, or cell phone and a tablet with the same phone number? Why can’t work like a house phone where if one line is in use, then a second phone cannot also be used at the same time. I would like to be able to have phone capability on my new tablet, but I really don’t want to have to pay for second line since I live alone and no one else is going to be using my phone anyway. It would be nice to use the tablet for taking and transmitting photographs, or perhaps using it for FaceTime or Skype where it would be more convenient than a smart phone. Longtime Consumer Cellular user and advocate.

    Still the best around!

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Thanks for posting, Dan. With how cellular service functions, the phone number is tied to a SIM card and can only be active on one SIM card at a time. That’s just the current limitation. If you don’t want to add a second line and you don’t have Wi-Fi, then you can use the hotspot feature on your smartphone and connect your tablet to the hotspot for internet access which will allow you to use things like FaceTime and Skype, as well as sending pictures.
