Free Clips App Brings Easy Video Magic to iPhone Users

In a recent post, I told you about how easy it is to create videos using the Google Photos app on your smartphone. Well, here’s great news for iPhone users: you’ve also got yet another fun video option to explore!

Apple offers a terrific app called Clips that lets you easily edit photos and videos together, add filters, emojis and music, and share the finished product with just a few clicks on your iPhone. It’s a wonderful way to turn your camera roll into memorable, modern home movies right in the palm of your hand. Let the world see your special moments in a unique and creative new way!

The Clips app can be downloaded free from the App Store. It has the familiar look and feel of a cellphone camera, with tools that are intuitive to identify and use. You select photos and videos you want to put together from your library, or capture new videos by tapping the long, red “Hold to Record” button. After making your selections, you can navigate among five icons at the top of the screen to add personal flourishes to your “movie.”

These embellishments include the unique “Live Titles,” which lets you add narration just by speaking. As you do, text automatically appears on the screen, which can then be customized with different styles or punctuation. Use “Filters” to change the basic look and color, and “Overlays” to add animated graphics, words, emojis or stickers. “Posters” inserts title cards at the start and finish. And with “Music,” you can add a soundtrack from either your iTunes library or pre-loaded selections that are included with Clips.

Editing is a breeze! Nearly everything can be done with just a few taps on the screen. A “pinch” gesture allows you to zoom in or out on items, and you can change the order using the timeline feature at the bottom of the screen. By tapping on a scissors icon, you can cut things out entirely, or trim the length of the finished clip.

The end result is a slick looking video file (MPEG format) seamlessly blending live action and still pictures with titles, narration, and music included! The app even features buttons that let you directly share your finished product to Instagram, Facebook, or You Tube. Plus, you can easily share it with your family and friends by using iPhone’s Messenger app.

You’re already using your iPhone to capture beautiful photos and videos. Now with Clips, you can let your inner artist run wild, and share them in a fresh, fun new format.

Tired of paying for minutes used that are caused by spam callers, robocallers. You need to supply a way that a user can block these callers. We shouldn’t have to use our minutes up for these jerks.
