It’s one thing when an outside source gives your company a favorable rating. But it is especially gratifying to me as a co-founder of Consumer Cellular when our own employees give us a solid thumbs-up. And that’s exactly what happened recently—for the fourth year in a row!
Our employees filled out a confidential employee satisfaction survey by the Oregon Business Journal. Based on the results of that survey, Consumer Cellular was ranked as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in Oregon. I feel this honor is representative of our entire company, because everything we do in Oregon, we also do in Arizona, the two states where we have customer service centers.
As I said, I’m pleased with the results of the survey, but what this means to you, our customers, can be even more gratifying. By remaining a top company, we are better able to recruit the best available talent. And by providing those talented employees with a positive work environment, they’re more inclined to consistently deliver exceptional and friendly service to you—day in and day out.
In other words, I believe we reap what we sow, whether it’s in the people we hire or the way they’re treated or how they serve our customers.
Truth be told, it’s a simple formula for success. We hire good people. We train and treat them well. And we create a positive work environment in which they can thrive. The result? Consumer Cellular customers are happy with the service they receive and enjoy recommending us to others.
Mick Jagger made a few words about not getting satisfaction famous. At Consumer Cellular there’s plenty of satisfaction, from top to bottom. And we plan to keep rolling that way. Thanks to the hard work of a great work force, we strive to be famous with our customers. Our employees are our rock.
