Over our 23 years in business, Consumer Cellular has donated more than $6 million to support a wide variety of non-profit organizations and give something back to our communities. We’ve even made a tradition of honoring important milestones for our company through charitable giving.
This year, we are humbled to have earned our three millionth Consumer Cellular customer! Your enthusiastic embrace of our service over the years has allowed us to grow from a small startup to a nationwide provider, and also to grow our ability to give back.
As our way of saying thank you, we’re allocating $1.5 million to be shared among three charities selected by our employees. That’s a donation of $500,000 to each of the three fine organizations listed below on behalf of our loyal customers:
Meals On Wheels: Meals on Wheels has more than 5,000 community-based programs across the country that are dedicated to addressing senior isolation and hunger. For nearly 50 years, Meals on Wheels volunteers have delivered hot, nutritious meals along with important human connections and compassion to those they serve.
Providence Cancer Research Institute: Located in Portland, Oregon, Providence Cancer Research Institute is leading the fight to one day eradicate cancer by developing groundbreaking new treatments through its world-class research.
Shriners Hospitals for Children: Shriners Hospitals for Children is a network of non-profit medical facilities offering innovative pediatric specialty care, research and outstanding medical education. Children with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate are eligible for care in a compassionate, family-centered environment, regardless of the families’ ability to pay.
We’re proud to support the important work these great organizations do to help those in need, and to be able to use our growth to be a force for making positive changes. One charity you may want to consider in the future is Samaritan’s Purse. They do so much disaster relief, plus their Operation Christmas Child programs provides gifts to so many underprivileged children!

Military Assistance Mission provides emergency financial assistance to our lowest ranking active duty military members by helping pay rent, mortgage, utilities ,car payments and car insurance, and food during times of a financial crisis. We also assist with the above for military transition out of the military to attend college, and help bridge the gap of their last military pay and the start of the GI Bill. We have several programs during the year including toy drive at Christmas, School drive, baby bundle bash baby shower, to assist our military members. Please consider Military Assistance Mission for your donations and support our military as they protect our freedoms.
