  16. Peggy says

Can we get anymore data than 20 gigs?

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for the question, Peggy. The highest Connect plan we have available includes 20GB of data with unlimited texting. We do not have any plans available that offer more data. If you exceed 20GB of data usage, then your speeds would be reduced and there would be a $5 charge per additional GB of data used to cover the usage. Once 30GB in total has been reached, the data service would be disconnected until the billing cycle has restarted.

  18. Mohammad Syed says

It seems your “call minute” is not 60 seconds. Please explain.

    • Thank you for your post, Mohammad! I would advise that with our service, if you connect to a call and reach the voicemail and it’s only thirty seconds, we count that as a full minute as this is how our carrier reports the usage to us. It may also round up depending on how long the call is. If you have any further concerns regarding usage, please feel free to give us a call at 888-345-5509 or you can also chat with us here.

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for the interest, MS! We do not have any Memorial Day specials planned for our Samsung phones, or any of our other phones. If we offer any sales in the future, there will be a box above the device in question that indicates an active sale. Have a great weekend!

  20. MS Lusk says

Are there Memorial Day specials on Samsung S9, S10+ & S10 phones?

    • Hi MS Lusk, thanks for posting! Currently, the promotion we have running is for adding a line which would give you a $20 credit on your bill. We do not have any promotions at this time for the phones mentioned.

  21. Deborah G. Tankersley says

    Deborah asks

I just got my first smart phone from you. A friend came over and got me all activated and put some people on my speed dial list that I communicate with frequently. She then showed me how to click to unlock my phone (I bought an Apple S6 I believe). She left to go out of time after going over the basics but I am having trouble just making a simple phone call! It sounds insane, I know but I unlocked the phone, put in my top secret code, put in the person’s number and punched the green button with the phone receiver symbol on it. What in the world am I doing wrong? It cannot be this difficult! Surely not!

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Hi Deborah, there is always a bit of a learning curve when you get a new phone. Thankfully, Apple has some great resources available for their phones and you can find some of that on our website here. The user guide, found here, may be particularly helpful for you. On the left sidebar, under “Apps > Phone > Phone calls > Make a call”, they have pictures and detailed instructions on how to make a call on the phone.

If you’re still having some trouble, our team is always happy to help at 888-345-5509 or via chat here.
