Good Afternoon,
Can an Apple Music account transfer if switching from Verizon to Consumer Celluar?
Hi Robin, great question, thanks for posting. The Apple Music account is tied to Apple and the phone rather than the service provider so that would switch over if you decide to go with our service.
How can u keep ur same cell phone number
We appreciate your interest, Linda! As long as the number remains active with the current provider during the transfer process, you can switch it over. We will also need the current account number, PIN number if there is one, billing address, and the account holder’s first and last name to submit to your current provider so that they will release the number to us so we would recommend having a bill readily available for this process.
You have any deals for 55+
Hi Armando, thanks for your interest! All of our plans are for anyone who would like to sign up for service. If you haven’t already, check out our plans here.
What if my service was disconnected can I still keep my #
And switch?
Great question, Mary. In order to transfer a phone number, it needs to be active with the carrier. If it’s not active, we can assign a new number or you can ask that they reinstate it and then we can transfer it.
I am interested in the middle plan 1 line & want to trade in an iPhone, buy a new Samsung. Do you sell them ? I’m a member of AARP so what would my monthly bill be approximately?
We appreciate the interest, Maureen. If you’re talking about Unlimited Talk and Text, with 10GB for one line, that would be $40 plus tax. With your AARP membership, that would be $38 plus tax instead.
Additionally we don’t have a trade-in program avilable, but we do have Samsung phones here.
If I go from Verizon to consumer cellular can you transfer all my contacts and pictures?
It depends on your device, Patty, but we’re happy to help get your contacts and pictures moved over to a new device.
I want to buy an iPad and would this device be unlocked and can be used on any cell carrier? Also I would to have a cellular SIM card installed into it so it can work on Consumer Cellular service? Plus the last two things I want the iPad to have printer capability and also with Consumer Cellular do I have the ability to access the internet ?
Thank you.
Thank you for posting, Signe. When purchasing an iPad, you would need to check with the retailer that it is unlocked and able to use a regular SIM card for cellular service. Some iPads are not compatible as they can only use an eSIM, which is not supported on our service. Printing capabilities would depend on your printer, and if they allow for wireless printing, or printing through an app. If the iPad is compatible, then it would be able to get online.
Does consumer cellular have land lines for home
Great question, Marjorie. We have a ZTE Wireless Home Phone Base that allows you to connect your landline device to our cellular network. You can find it here.
We use IPhones with pre paid cards. Can our phone numbers and photos be saved. We are AARP members and plan to buy new phones from Consumer Cellular .
Hi Renee, your photos and contacts can easily be transferred via iCloud if you will be purchasing new iPhones.
Hello my name is Eric and what is the cheapest you can get me a phone and service out the door
Thanks for your interest in service, Eric! The plan is going to largely depend on what exactly you need in terms of a plan, whether it’s just talk, or talk, texting, and data. If you’d like, take a look at our plan options here to take a look at the options and pricing.
If I sign up for a $15/month plan NOW, would I pay $5/month for the first 5 months with the 50 big ones promotion (then pay $15/month from the 6th month onwards)?
That is correct! Keep in mind it won’t pay for taxes, so with the $15 a month plus tax plan, you’d get a bill for $5 a month plus tax for the first five months before it went up to the full $15 a month plus tax.
Can I switch to Consumer Cellular by phone immediately or do I need to get a SIM card by mail or at Walmart etc?
Hi Anne, thanks for your interest! You would need to wait for a SIM card since this is how we provide our customers with service. You can pick one up from a partnered Target location though if you’d like to have it more quickly than waiting for it in the mail.
When I signed up for Cellular Service it was PRIOR to Dec 31st, & I was supposed to get a $100 CREDIT bonus for signing up before Jan 1st.
However I see by my invoices for Jan-Feb that I was given ONLY $25 credit bonus…!
How come?
Also, my name is spelled wrong on my account.
It’s NICHOLS.
Hi Carol, thanks for your post. At this time, I have corrected the spelling of your last name for your account, I apologize for the trouble that this has caused. If you had a code for a different promotion, we would have needed to know at the time of signing up or soon after that. At this time, the account is outside of the Risk-Free Guarantee time frame so we would not be able to add it. If you have any questions about that, give us a call at 800-686-4460 or you can also chat with us here.
I just signed up with CCel what do I need to do?
.
Doug Hunt
Thank you for posting, Douglas. If you signed up between 2/15/2021 – 3/31/2021, the promotion will be automatically added to your account and you’ll see it applied to your first 5 invoices in $10 increments.
how do sign for auto pay
Hi Phillip, you can select AutoPay as your billing method when signing up for service. After signing up, you can select it through your online account or by calling us at 888-345-5509.
I have an Obama phone and am ready to change over to regular service but I want to keep my number, contacts, and pictures. The account is active and in good standing. The phone is a BLU C5 through Life Wireless. Is this possible purchasing a new phone from you? I’m considering the ZMax 10.
Hi Mark, thanks for your interest in our service! You can keep your number as long as the number remains active with the current provider during the transfer process, you can switch it over. We will also need the current account number, PIN number if there is one, billing address, and the account holder’s first and last name to submit to your current provider so that they will release the number to us so we would recommend having a bill readily available for this process. We can also help you transfer your information such as your contacts and photos over to a new phone. You’re definitely welcome to purchase one of our phones to use with our service.
How do I cancel tracphone and go to consumer cellular with same phone?
Hi Arleen, thanks for your interest! If you’re wanting to bring your phone, you will need to make sure that your phone is unlocked from Tracfone, is GSM-compatible, and VoLTE capable. We can’t guarantee compatibility for all models, but we will do all we can to see if we can get it connected for you. As a side note, if you’re wanting to keep your current number, you will need to keep that Tracfone account active until that transfer completes.
Can you use the internet just like a regular pc or cell phone and does it have a play or app store on it to download apps? and can you print off it?
Hi Mary, thanks for your interest! If you’re connected to a WiFi source or have an active data plan, you can use the phone for things such as apps or downloading apps on the phone. You would need to connect the phone to a printer via Bluetooth to print anything though.
Can I transfer all info from a Tracfone to one of your phones? If so, how?
Hi Virginia, we can help you with transferring information from your old one to one of ours.
It’s April 24, why is this still up? The promotion time has long since passed.
Hi Amy, thanks for your question! We don’t delete the blog posts, including ones for past promotions so that they can be referenced later and for those that post other questions that aren’t related to that promotion so that other people can also use that information. I’d be happy to pass along your suggestion though for the future!
