I found out you have to press and hold the tiny little microphone, then the voice to text feature window pops up. Hard to do because it’s SO tiny that even my small fingers have a hard time with it and I keep pressing the nearby keys instead. But once you get used to it, it works great and very responsive to my voice.

Can I take this phone to Europe to use?
Thanks for the question, Jan. Our service works only within the United States. However, we’ve heard of cases where customers take our phones overseas while on vacation, and simply place an international SIM card in their phones to get service. We can’t guarantee that practice will work with any of our devices. Another option would be to bring the phone to Europe and simply use it when you’re connected to Wi-Fi. There are various apps that will allow you to make calls, texts and video chats while connected to a Wi-Fi network.

You can find a universal protective cover at Walmart for under $4. You cut it to it and is very easy to put on.

Though I am not all “THAT” keen with the case I picked up at “Best Buy”, as I would prefer a ‘loop’ hold where the belt goes “through” the holder — it won’t fall off — instead of the simple ‘hook’ hold that only ‘hangs’ on the belt that bending could knock it off … … … … … the one in Carson City, NV., had a nice [otherwise] holder I picked up that holds the phone well.
I did a ‘minor’ modification to one side of the ‘stretching material” — allows the holder to expand to the phone — I cut just a tad of fabric from the center, so I could plug the charger in but not have to take the phone out of the holder while charging.
Works for me.

I really needed a feminine case to carry my new Doro Phone Smartphone 824, but you had no such thing…not even a suggestion as to where to find such a thing. I then found “Gukas Color Design PU Wallet Flip Leather with Card Slots Cover Skin Protection Case Shell For Doro 824” in the Amazon site. Ordered it. It is perfect! Has perfect line up for camera and speaker, will hold two debit cards, one credit card, drivers license, and health cards – including Medicare card….plus snuggly holds cells phone in place. NOW I am completely satisfied with my Doro Phone Don’t know if you can recommend this to your customers, but it is absolutely PERFECT for your AARP doro phone 824 users. Also colors for male customers

I think it is counterproductive not having a case and protective

The only android phone CC sells with more than 8GB of storage is a older phone with a old version of android on it. I would love to get a newer phone for my account on CC but only Apple phones are available that fit my needs. I really don’t want an Apple. I see ya’ll are adding android phones but none of them have more than 8GB of storage. 80% of the world uses android, maybe CC needs to rethink their phone coverage.

My phone is 1 mo. old and went haywire on the pattern screen lock. It is now totally useless because I am locked out of my phone and it will not reset. No luck with the great customer service CC boasts of…I will be without my phone for at least 3 days. Evidently the remote access doesn’t work because I spent an hour on the phone with support trying to get it unlocked. I THOUGHT this was a great phone for elderly, but after 30 days, I can no longer endorse it. I think it needs some of the kinks worked out before releasing to the public.

I’m very interested in the doro 824 but I also want a case & a protective shield. Is this phone bigger than the iPhone you’re offering for the same price? I’ve read the measurements but I’m not sure how big that is when I see it, it looks pretty big.

There is indeed, Ron! When you open your email app, select the menu in the top right corner (it will look like three dots). Select “delete email”. On the next screen, you can select multiple emails to delete at a time. Once you’ve chosen the messages you want to delete, tap the green checkmark at the bottom. Have had the Doro for over a month now- and thought I would like it – it keeps freezing on me. Even when it its charged at 100 percent- also have take things off thinking this would help. Its also very hard to get facebook, and other apps on this

Without a doubt, this is the worst phone I have ever owned! I was forced into buying a new phone when services for my old phone were removed. This phone has numerous error messages, Often turns on with a page I did not ask for or want. The phone also never rings when someone is calling me. My old phone was a Apple iphone, a much better product. I also owned an old DORO that was much better. I seldom use this phone, so when I need it I expect it to be working, but it is just unreliable.

How can I copy contacts from my galaxy 8e to a doro 824?
There are a few ways you can do it, Sharon. First, if you sign into the Doro 824 with the same Gmail account, your contacts may automatically be added if you have synched them to the account. Second, you can transfer contacts using the old SIM card that was in your Galaxy 8e. Even if it isn’t active, you should be able to insert the old SIM card into your Doro 824 and transfer any contacts that are saved to it.
