Consumer Cellular was honored to join all who attended Oregon Business Magazine’s 100 Best Green Companies event earlier this month at Hilton Hotel in downtown. The annual event recognizes employers who adopt and promote sustainable business practices. The theme of this year’s event was the search for that sweet spot where mission and money merge into one unified strategy.
The 100 businesses and nonprofits that made the 2010 green list represent every sector of the state’s economy — from construction to lodging, craft brewing to technology. All selected for this honor were not, surprisingly, selected by Oregon Business; they were selected by their own employees. The results are based on 26,000 confidential employee surveys collected and analyzed by Oregon Business research editor Brandon Sawyer and Su Midghall of Davis, Hibbitts & Midghall. And while not every organization on this year’s list comes as a surprise, many of this year’s winners were quite inspiring. And we are proud to be among them.
