To celebrate Earth Month in April, we’re encouraging all of our customers who haven’t already done so to consider switching to electronic billing. It’s easy to do, and it offers tremendous benefits for both yourself and the environment.
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the average American uses the equivalent of about one 100-foot-tall Douglas fir tree in paper each year. Fewer printed billing statements means less demand for paper—and less air pollution from paper production.
The elimination of billing statements also means less loose paper—and less clutter—in your home. You’ll save time sorting through bills and figuring what you should keep, what can be thrown in the trash, and what must be shredded. Instead, your bill is always available to review online or by using the My CC app on your smartphone.
To switch to paperless billing for your account, simply click here and follow these steps:
- Choose Edit Billing Info from the Billing menu.
- Then, select Email Billing under Billing Type.
And that’s all there is to it! Rather than receiving your monthly Consumer Cellular invoice in the mail, you’ll receive it by email instead. You can even pay your bill online as well, saving on envelopes and stamps and eliminating worry about when to put a check in the mail.
