Consumer Cellular makes Oregon Business Magazine’s 2014 best list of companies to work for in Oregon

Well, five times is certainly a charm! I’m proud to announce that Consumer Cellular made Oregon Business Magazine’s list of “100 Best companies to work for in Oregon”, for the 5th year in a row. This phenomenal news can only attract more great employees to our company ensuring exceptional service to our customers.

As reported in the March 2015 issue of the publication, we took the #20 spot in the large company category from the best source possible — our own employees! They ranked us highly across 20 categories including work environment, management and communications, decision-making and trust, career development and learning, and benefits and compensation.

I know, it’s not only the commitment and positive attitude of the 802 Consumer Cellular team members in Oregon, but all the 1,200 employees who enable our positive work culture.     Every time we have to call customer service (which isn’t very often thankfully), we are on hold anywhere from 15-30 minutes before someone answers the phone. I don’t have any complaints about the service, just the wait times. Perhaps you need to hire more employees because a person shouldn’t have to wait that long to ask one question.

    My husband recently bought a phone and service from Consumer Cellular, and I am seriously looking into it myself. I have seen the “coverage map” but I’m not sure about the service that carries you. Are you with Sprint, AT^T or Verizon ? I don’t understand how you can have so much national coverage, we hear so little about your actual service co.
