In the manual, there is a setting which allows you to answer calls by opening the phone. However, I don’t see anything about ending calls by closing the phone. Is this possible, or do you always have to press the power button to end calls?
Great question, John! The phone is automatically programmed to hang up when you close the phone during the call, in addition to using the power button. We appreciate you posting!
1. How do I change my voicemail greeting on my new Doro 7050? I could not find any instructions in any of the materials I received at the time of purchase or online.
2. Is there a way of retrieving deleted voicemail messages? I accidentally deleted some on my Doro 7050 and would like to get them back if possible
Hi Brian, you can change your voicemail greeting by calling your voicemail. When you’re in the main menu, press “3” for Greetings, then press either “2” to record a custom greeting, “3” to record your name as the greeting, or “4” to set your phone number as the greeting.
If you have deleted a voicemail message, there is no way to retrieve it once you’ve exited the voicemail system.

Hi Richard, pairing can typically be done just through Bluetooth. You can find the Bluetooth settings on the Doro 7050 by going to Menu > Settings > Network & Connectivity > Bluetooth. If you’re having trouble pairing your phone with your car, then we recommend referring to your car’s manual or taking it to the dealership if possible.

Will you post an operating instructions video for the DORO 7050 that I can access online? The only one I’ve seen is for a different model that differs from mine. I do not see anything in the print manual (that came with my phone)telling me how I can view my missed calls. I got my phone just a few days ago. THIS IS URGENT!
Hi Marilyn, I can definitely get that manual for you! You can find the one for the Doro 7050 along with some how-to videos by going to our website here. If you have any further questions after this, let us know!
Like the new 7050. Just wish the sim card from my old doro 626 would fit in it to make transferring contacts easier. Old card is bigger than the new ones. Guess I can try a Bluetooth transfer. Will that work?
Hi Gary, transferring via Bluetooth is definitely an option. You can also give us a call at 888-345-5509 or chat with us here and we would be happy to help.
Can you transfer photo’s from this phone to a Mac Computer or be able to make photo prints from the SD Card?
Hi Harvey, that’s a great question thanks for posting. You can definitely move those photos over to your Mac, you’ll just need a standard micro USB cable to connect your Doro phone to the computer and then drag the files over that you’re wanting to save there. If you have a memory SD card, you can also place it in the phone to save them there and make prints of them if that would be easier.
Texting with the numbers keyboard is proving to be too challenging for my elderly father. Rather than cancelling the unlimited texting, I am hoping there is a talk to text feature, but I haven’t found a consistent answer on whether this is available.
Thanks for your question, Deborah. The Doro 7050 doesn’t have the speech to text option, however, our smartphones and our GrandPad do have the options available to make it a bit easier. If you’d like to take a closer look at these options, visit our website here0.

How would I do a group texting on my new doro 7050?
Hi Sandra, great question, thanks for posting! With the Doro 7050, when you’re setting the message up, select the people that you want to send it to and add them to the “To” box. You’ll need to add them one by one though by going up to the “To” box once one contact is entered and then you can select the next one that you want to add.
My doro 7050 will not sync to my infotainment in my 2014 toyota. I am being told it is not a smart phone and will not stay linked to the radio for hands free driving. It does the same thing in 2019 equinox also. So I can’t use phones unless they are smartphones for hand free driving. Are all your flip phones not smart phones?
Hi Debra, thanks for your question! Our flip phones are not smartphones, they don’t have the capacity to connect to our data network as the smartphones do. They can link up with basic Bluetooth sets, but depending on the one that your car is using, the phone may not be compatible with it.
When using the FM radio function, does it use up plan minutes?
That’s a great question, Gerry. Using the FM radio does not use minutes from your plan.

Can we set the speaker to be default on? Currently she has to enable speaker during each call. Not very convenient.
Hi Dean, thanks for your question. I’m sorry to hear about the trouble your mother is having. We don’t have a way to set the phone to be on speakerphone by default, but we can look at increasing the volume using the settings in the phone itself. When they change to 5g can I still use my Doro 7050?
Hi Eddie, while 3G service is being phased out, 4G LTE service will still function, along with 5G. This means the Doro 7050 will still work.
Nicole, can you please tell me how to make the doro 7050 work in a recently changed network to 5g. I have a senior citizen than is 90% blind. Her phone is not getting a signal since the changeover to 5g. Is there something in settings on her doro? She is helpless without her cell phone living in rural arkansas.
Hi Jacqulyn, I recommend just having her power the phone all the way off and back on. We recently had an update to fix the issue on that phone, so it should be working after a restart.
can I get a plan for this that includes my calling from usa to canada?
Hi Claudine, thanks for your interest! Our plans don’t include free calls to Canada, it does cost $0.04 per minute used. You can find more information on this feature by going to our website here.
i have two doro 7050 phones and they are doing the same thing one or two times a week , you make phone call , the receiving phone will ring once and the call ends . if you power down and power up everything works okay for a day or two . note these phones are power off most of the time, just turned on when making a call
