  2. Caroline says

I have a Doro 7050. I have taken pictures with my phone
and now want to print some.
    How do I do this?

    • Hi Caroline, thanks for your post! What you will need to do is move the pictures over to your computer with the USB cable to print them from there, or you can also save them to a memory microSD card as well that can be brought in to print from. We do sell a microSD card if you would like to purchase it from us by giving us a call at 888-345-5509 or you can also find them at retail locations that sell electronics.

I liked the format of the old My CC app better, but I just use it to track minutes and data.

Thank you for taking the time to post, Sam. I appreciate the feedback!

  5. Linda Heath says

    Hi there,
I am a two plus year user of CC and absolutely love it. I am trying to assist my brother in transitioning from a flip phone with Verizon to a fairly simple I-phone like my SE. When I tried to leave Verizon and join CC, I had to jump through so many hoops I began to wonder if it was even worth it. Do you have any advice about tricks to escape Verizon without losing your mind?

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for taking the time to post, Linda! I’m so sorry to hear that you had a rough time transferring. Generally, the biggest hiccup is caused by the account information when transferring a number over. To transfer a number, Verizon requires the account number, the account holder’s name, the billing address on file, the last 4 of the account holder’s SSN, and the account PIN.

If the iPhone your brother will be using is new, then you shouldn’t need to do anything further outside of making sure it’s unlocked and able to use a SIM card. Also, our customer service team is always happy to help walk you through getting everything set up at 888-345-5510.

  6. Shirley Jennings says

I am wondering what a locked phone is, I bought a Doro 7050 is this a locked phone I’m a senior who is not up to date on phones Also how do I figure out just exactly how to use my data I know how much I have but how do I figure out how much I’m using (example if I take a picture I’d like to know how many MG before the picture not after) I would like some examples of what is considered data

    • Hi Shirley, those are great questions, thanks for asking them! I would advise that the Doro 7050 does not have access to data. Data is internet usage on the phone, so if you were checking things like your email or social media applications on a phone when you are not connected to WiFi, that is what would cause data usage to occur. Photos do not use data, but they do take up storage space in the phone and the size of a picture will depend on the quality of the picture. If you would like to check to see the amount of storage space you have you can do this under Settings and then select Storage.

  7. JoAnn Swenson says

    Does CC support Robokiller?

    • Hi JoAnn, that is a great question, thanks for posting! Because it is a third party application we cannot guarantee anything. If it’s coming from the app store that came with the phone it should be fine but we wouldn’t know until it was tried out on the phone.

Hi Jane, all of our phones come with a charging cord. There are a select few phones that also come with additional accessories, such as earbuds, depending on the model and manufacturer. 9. Cecelia says

I have switched over to T-Mobile but I want to keep the same phone when I put in my SIM card for T-Mobile it says it hasn’t been unlocked?

    • Hi John, great question! The best way to view our coverage is by going to our website here. You can enter your address and view the coverage we offer. We use the nation’s largest GSM networks and cover 97% of the U.S. population.

  13. Debbie puckett says

What does CC charge for overages of data usage?

    • Great question, Debbie! We don’t charge overages, how our system works is that if you go over on your data you’ll be upgraded to the next plan so that you can keep using data as needed. When your cycle ends, you can decide to either keep that new plan or lower it back to the previous one.

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Hi Glenna, thank you for reaching out. On 6/15, some of our customers experienced a network outage affecting their ability to make or receive calls and texts. As soon as the outage was identified we worked with our carriers to resolve it as immediately as possible. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience.
