Consumer Cellular has been recognized by J.D. Power as “Highest in Customer Service among Non-Contract Wireless Providers, Two Times in a Row.” The awards are based on the results of nationwide studies compiled for the J.D. Power 2017 Wireless Customer Care Study—Volume 1, and J.D. Power 2016 Wireless Customer Care
Study—Volume 2, which focus on the experiences of current customers who had contact with their carriers’ customer care departments.

Consumer Reports subscribers have rated Consumer Cellular highest in the magazine's annual review of cellphone service providers for 6 of the last 7 years. The 2017 rankings were compiled from a survey of over 100,000 subscribers, who graded carriers in eight different categories including value, voice and text quality, and customer support. Consumer Cellular's 2016 and 2017 composite scores of 89 out of 100 outpolled even the “Big 4” carriers!

In June 2016, a consumer survey conducted by the nationwide customer experience firm Market Force Information named Consumer Cellular the favorite wireless cellphone carrier among non-contract providers. Carriers were ranked in multiple categories to determine customer satisfaction and loyalty. Consumer Cellular came out on top for best value, best coverage, fewest dropped calls, easiest to change plan, and best flexibility, among others.

In 2016, Consumer Cellular was again included on the Inc. 5,000 list, identifying America's fastest-growing private companies. It marked the eighth consecutive year the company has been named to the prestigious list, which is published annually by Inc. Magazine.

Further demonstrating its commitment to customer satisfaction, Consumer Cellular has been accredited by the Better Business Bureau since 1999—and has earned an A+ or A- rating from the Bureau for 17 consecutive years!

The Portland Business Journal honored Consumer Cellular in 2016 by placing the company on its annual list of Oregon's 100 Fastest-Growing Companies. This was the seventh consecutive year Consumer Cellular earned a spot among Oregon's top performers.

In 2015, for the sixth year in a row, Consumer Cellular has been recognized as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in the State of Oregon by Oregon Business Magazine. This is truly one of the most meaningful awards a company can receive because it is the employees who determine the ratings.

In a 2012 survey sponsored by The Oregonian, the largest news organization in the Pacific Northwest, Consumer Cellular was recognized as the #1 mid-sized company to work for in the state of Oregon.

In 2012, Consumer Cellular won Inc. Magazine's inaugural Inc. Hire Power Award for leading the way in creating American jobs. With more than 1,300 employees, Consumer Cellular is proud to be an entirely U.S.-based company.
