Consumer Cellular has been ranked by J.D. Power as “#1 in Customer Service among Wireless Value Mobile Virtual Network Operators, 13 Times in a Row!” The awards are based on the results of the J.D. Power 2016 (V2) - 2020 (V2) Wireless Non-Contract Customer Care Performance Studies and 2021 (V2) - 2022 (V2) Wireless Customer Care Mobile Virtual Network Operator Performance Studies of customers’ satisfaction with wireless customer care experiences.
Consumer Cellular was recognized for providing “America’s Best Customer Service” among mobile carriers in Newsweek’s Best Customer Service Companies 2020 ratings. The results are based on a nationwide survey encompassing 480 companies in 160 retail categories. Consumer Cellular earned an overall score of 8.69 on a 10-point rating scale.
In June 2018, a consumer survey conducted by the nationwide customer experience firm Market Force Information named Consumer Cellular the favorite wireless cellphone carrier among non-contract providers for the third year in a row. Carriers were ranked in multiple categories to determine customer satisfaction and loyalty. Consumer Cellular came out on top for best value, best coverage, fewest dropped calls, easiest to change plan, and best flexibility, among others.
