Who may enroll in Asurion® Protection?
Consumer Cellular customers enrolling within 60 days of new device activation or upgrade. There are some devices that are not eligible for Asurion Protection, including:
I'm interested in Asurion Protection. How do I enroll?
If you're an existing Consumer Cellular customer, you may enroll an eligible device within 60 days of device activation by calling 866.230.6881. If you are purchasing a new device or upgrading your current one on www.consumercellular.com, at a Consumer Cellular retail store, or through Consumer Cellular customer care, you may add Asurion Protection during checkout.
Can I enroll in Asurion Protection at any time?
You have 60 days from the day you activate your device to enroll in Asurion Protection.
How am I billed for Asurion Protection?
For your convenience, the Asurion Protection monthly charge, plus applicable taxes, will appear on your Consumer Cellular bill.

May I easily cancel Asurion Protection?
Yes. You may cancel Asurion Protection at any time by calling 866.230.6881. You will receive a refund and/or credit, if any, of your unearned monthly charge within the applicable time frame required by law.
What is Asurion® Protection?
Asurion Protection protects your device for less than a dollar a day. With Asurion Protection, you'll have peace of mind knowing that, should the unexpected happen to your device, you can get back up and running quickly while avoiding costly replacements.

Are all devices eligible for cracked screen repair?
No, as soon as same-day cracked screen repair is available for eligible devices in select areas. Same-day repair option depends on claim approval time, parts availability and technician availability.
How do I know if my device is eligible for cracked screen repair?

What locations are available for cracked screen repair?
If your device is eligible for cracked screen repair, once your claim is approved, the claims expert will inform you of the options available. Options may include taking your device to a local repair location, having a technician come to you or mailing your device in for repair. Repair options are all subject to parts, location and technician availability.
How many times can I file a claim for a battery replacement?
You will be able to file an unlimited number of claims for device malfunctions related to your battery after the manufacturer's warranty expires and after completion of diagnostic testing. Battery replacement claims do not count toward the Plan's claim limits. Battery replacement is for eligible devices and subject to technician and parts availability.
What locations are available for me to get a battery replacement?
If your device is eligible for battery replacement, once your claim is approved, the claims expert will inform you of the options available. Options may include taking your device to a local repair location or having a technician come to you. Repair options are all subject to parts, location and technician availability.
What does Asurion® Protection not cover?
It does not cover lost or stolen devices or losses caused or resulting from abuse; misuse; fire; service performed by anyone not authorized by the Provider, Administrator (including any contracted third-party providers); intentional damage; acts of God; or recall. Refer to program terms and conditions for a full list of exclusions and limitations.
Why do I need Asurion Protection when some devices come with a warranty?
While new devices generally come with a manufacturer's warranty, that warranty typically covers mechanical and electrical breakdown for 12 months.
