Both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.consumercellular.com\/shopping\/choose\/device?filters=Android\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Android smartphone<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.consumercellular.com\/shopping\/choose\/device?filters=Apple\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">iPhone<\/a> users now have the option to change the voice featured on built-in virtual assistants (Google Assistant and Siri), letting you put a unique personal spin on these handy features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll be surprised at all the different voices you can choose from. <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.google.android.apps.googleassistant&amp;hl=en_US&amp;gl=US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Google Assistant<\/a> offers 10 choices\u2014five male and five female, each with a specific character and personality\u2014plus a celebrity option voiced by TV and film star Issa Rae. With its recent update to iOS 14.5, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/siri\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Apple\u2019s Siri<\/a> can now be one of six different options, male or female, each with a distinctive accent like American, British or Australian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can change voices as often as you like, so it\u2019s like having a new companion on a regular basis! Here\u2019s how:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Google Assistant, press and hold the <strong>Home button<\/strong>, or say \u201cOK Google\u201d to open your assistant. Tap <strong>Assistant<\/strong>, then <strong>Assistant Voice<\/strong>. You\u2019ll see the list of options available, and can tap each to hear what they sound like. Once you\u2019ve found one you like, select it. You\u2019ll see a checkmark indicating which voice is currently in use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>iPhone users can change Siri\u2019s voice by tapping <strong>Settings<\/strong>, then scrolling to and tapping <strong>Siri &amp; Search<\/strong>, then tapping <strong>Siri Voice<\/strong>. Again, you\u2019ll see a list of available options, which you can sample and then select by tapping the one you prefer. One thing you can\u2019t do is ask Siri to change its own voice, though if you make this request, it will provide a button allowing you to hop right to the appropriate menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bring new character\u2014and characters\u2014to your phone by choosing different voices for your digital assistant.
