Fortunately, as with so much of the digital world nowadays, there\u2019s an app for that. Actually, there are a lot of apps for that, so here are our recommendations of some of the most interesting apps you can use to enhance your smartphone photography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Android Phones<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Android users, a quick search in the Play Store<\/a> for \u201cPhoto Apps\u201d offers nearly 250 choices, from pricey, advanced options to fun filters. We\u2019ve chosen the following pair for their versatility, and ease of use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open Camera<\/a> <\/strong>has serious features, including manual camera controls, a timer, support for some external microphones, HDR, exposure bracketing, and more. It\u2019s a great option for both photographers and videographers, and it\u2019s completely free, with no in-app purchases or advertising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google Camera<\/a> <\/strong>is Google\u2019s official camera app, and delivers an impressive set of features. They include a lens blur mode, slow motion (on supported devices), photo spheres, video stabilization, and more. The app is free, and can be used on any devices running Android 7.1.1 operating systems and up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iPhones<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also a massive number of photo apps offered in the Apple App Store<\/a> for iPhone users. This free pair deliver some of the best enhancements to the iPhone\u2019s already terrific camera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Photoshop Camera Photo Filters<\/a> is all about creative spontaneity. It\u2019s a great way to add imagination to any snapshot. The app works in real-time, applying live filters and effects to whatever you\u2019re looking at through your iPhone\u2019s camera. Or, you can load an existing image and have the app transform it into something brand new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VSCO<\/a> Pronounced \u201cVisco\u201d, this app provides a robust range of photo editing tools and filters, including the unique ability to emulate a host of other cameras. Additionally, it offers most of these same features for video content as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Best App You Probably Already Have<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No matter what type of smartphone you\u2019re using, if you\u2019re a digital shutterbug, no doubt you\u2019re already using Instagram<\/a> as part of your social media routine.
