But with nearly\nevery website and app requiring users to sign up for an account these days\u2014and\nseemingly having different rules for creating them\u2014remembering an ever-growing list\nof complex passwords can be a tough task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s\nwhere password managers come in. They not only do the remembering for you but\ncan also be used to create strong, secure passwords to protect your online\naccounts from hackers and scammers. They then store all your individual passwords and\ndole them out to whatever service you&#8217;re logging into through the use of encrypted\nbrowser add-ons and apps.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A\ngood password manager stores, generates, and updates passwords for you with the\nclick of a button. All of your passwords are saved to a secure \u2018vault\u2019 that is\nitself protected by a user-devised master password. Instead of having to\nremember all of your individual passwords, you just need to know the one that\nsecures your password manager (so, as an added tip, be sure to make it a good\none!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For\neven greater security, password managers offer tools to alert you to\npotentially compromised passwords, and make it it easier to quickly change a\ncompromised password and search through your passwords to ensure you didn&#8217;t\nreuse any compromised codes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re not currently using a password manager, here are three popular options that can be downloaded for free from either the <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store?&amp;utm_source=na_Med&amp;utm_medium=hasem&amp;utm_content=Jul0119&amp;utm_campaign=Evergreen&amp;pcampaignid=MKT-DR-na-us-1000189-Med-hasem-py-Evergreen-Jul0119-Text_Search_BKWS-id_100740_%7cEXA%7cONSEM_kwid_43700045371544913&amp;gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_diqrvTd5AIVAh-tBh1qgwkyEAAYASAAEgILSPD_BwE&amp;gclsrc=aw.ds\" target=\"_blank\">Google Play<\/a> <\/strong>Store for Android smartphone users, or the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/ios\/app-store\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">App Store<\/a><\/strong> for iPhones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.x8bit.bitwarden&amp;hl=en_US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">BitWarden<\/a><\/strong> features numerous security methods, and also lets you easily import your password data from other password managers, web browsers, and various apps.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.lastpass.lpandroid&amp;hl=en_US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">LastPass<\/a><\/strong> works on nearly every platform and device available, and stores your credentials and other sensitive data encrypted on its server.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=co.myki.android&amp;hl=en_US\"><strong>MyKi <\/strong><\/a><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=co.myki.android&amp;hl=en_US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Authenticator<\/a><\/strong> works a little differently. Rather than storing your passwords in the cloud, it relies on point to point encryption to securely move your passwords from your phone to your computer. You can even log in using fingerprint ID instead of a master password.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There are plenty of great downloadable password managers out there (some of which require purchase), so look for the one that has features that make sense for you.
