Tap the space bar twice to end a sentence<\/strong><\/p>\n Save time searching for the period after you finish typing a sentence. Simply tap the space bar twice to add a period and a space so you\u2019re ready to start your next sentence. The phone will even capitalize the first word in the next sentence, so there\u2019s no need to tap the shift key.<\/p>\n Tap the shift key twice to type in all caps<\/strong><\/p>\n Want to type a word, sentence or whole message in ALL CAPS? Just tap the shift key twice and you\u2019ll see a line appear below the arrow. Now you\u2019re ready to type. When you\u2019re ready to return to lowercase letters, simply tap the shift key once.<\/p>\n Hold down the period key to complete a website address<\/strong><\/p>\n Rather than typing out \u201c.com\u201d or \u201c.gov\u201d to complete a website address in your internet browser, save a few seconds by holding down the \u201c.\u201d key next to the space bar. A pop-up window with the most common options will appear. Rest your fingers and use the microphone option (located to the left of the space bar in the Messages and Mail apps). Just tap the microphone key once to turn it on and begin speaking. Your phone\u2019s voice-recognition software will transcribe your speech into text on the screen.
