Are there times you don\u2019t want to be disturbed by the sound of a ringtone or the buzz of a vibration whenever a new call, text, or email arrives?<\/p>\n

Did you know your iPhone has a Do Not Disturb function which lets you silence calls, alerts, and notifications while your device is locked? You can also schedule a time period or choose who can call you. There are two easy ways to turn this function on or off:<\/p>\n

Option 1:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open the Settings app.<\/li>\n
  2. Tap \u201cDo Not Disturb.\u201d<\/li>\n
  3. Choose \u201cManual\u201d to turn on\/off now or \u201cScheduled\u201d to schedule a specific time to not be disturbed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Option 2:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center.<\/li>\n
    2. Tap the crescent moon icon.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      You can also choose when you want to be disturbed or who can contact you with the following settings:<\/p>\n

      Allow Calls From<\/strong>: Allow calls from everyone, no one, your Favorites, or specific contact groups stored on your device.<\/p>\n

      Repeated Calls<\/strong>: If someone calls you twice within three minutes, the second call won\u2019t be silenced.<\/p>\n

      Silence<\/strong>: Choose to always silence calls or only when your device is locked.<\/p>\n

      Now you can leave your phone on and sleep, work on a project, or watch a movie and not be disturbed\u2014or only on your terms.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
