However, there is a third benefit that often goes unnoticed and it is, perhaps, the true driving force behind Consumer Cellular. In fact, if I could use one word to describe our service that word would be &#8220;flexibility.&#8221; And nowhere does this flexibility &#8220;flex&#8221; its muscles more than in our free <a href=\"https:\/\/www.consumercellular.com\/WhyUs\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Usage Alerts<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/a> program, which, I\u2019m happy to say, is two years old this month.<\/p>\n<p>So, how\u2019d this service do in its first two years? That\u2019s because whenever customers are warned about approaching their plan\u2019s limit, we recommend they upgrade to a different plan to avoid unnecessary overage fees\u2014and we make it very easy for them to do so.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, if their increased usage is temporary, they\u2019re free to return to their previous plan without any penalties or fees.<\/p>\n<p>Although customers may opt out of receiving these automated alerts at any time, 99.8% of our customers have Usage Alerts enabled.<\/p>\n<p>Flexibility is important in how we live our lives. Tomorrow will be different than today and who knows what will happen in our lives a month from now? It\u2019s not just comforting to have flexible options, it\u2019s important.
