As a sequel to last week, we have another Siri tip for our iPhone users. Did you know you can have Siri customize relationships for people you call or text frequently?<\/p>\n

You can easily teach Siri that \u201cJane Smith is my mom\u201d or \u201cBill Smith is my son,\u201d so the next time you call them you can simply say: \u201cCall my mom\u201d or \u201cText my son.\u201d<\/p>\n

You can also set nicknames for people who may have the same first and last name. This can save you time when using Siri to place calls and lets you use the nicknames you normally would.<\/p>\n

Here’s How:<\/p>\n

  1. Open up Siri by holding the Home button for two seconds.<\/li>\n
  2. When Siri beeps, say: \u201c[insert your mother\u2019s name] is my mom.\u201d<\/li>\n
  3. Siri will read the relationship back for you to confirm. (If Siri mispronounces the name, simply say: \u201cThat\u2019s not how you pronounce that.\u201d Siri will ask you for the correct pronunciation; then say the name back to you three different ways so you can choose the one you like.)<\/li>\n
  4. Repeat with other close relatives or friends with nicknames you call frequently (i.e. your spouse, father, brother, sister, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
