Consumer Cellular Makes List of the Best Companies to Work For:<\/em><\/p>\n

It isn\u2019t often I discuss our employees in my blog. But I could easily devote an entire blog post each week to talking about our wonderful employees or feature a different employee every week. Our employees are, after all, a very important part of our business and the linchpin of our success.<\/p>\n

So it\u2019s especially rewarding for me to learn that for the second year in a row Consumer Cellular was selected as one of the 100 Best Companies<\/a> to work for in the state of Oregon.  The best part, for me, is knowing this honorable distinction was made possible by the positive reports our employees gave about working here at Consumer Cellular.<\/p>\n

Simply put, employee satisfaction is invaluable to us. That\u2019s because our employees spend a lot of time at work and a good part of that time is spent working with our customers. If our employees are satisfied, it stands to reason our customers will be, too. Satisfied employees deliver the highest levels of care.<\/p>\n

Personally, I believe there\u2019s a direct correlation between happy employees and happy customers. Or put another way: \u201cSmile and the world smiles with you.\u201d<\/p>\n

As an employer, I like to think Consumer Cellular is one of the best places to work. I\u2019m especially gratified to learn, for two years running now, our employees agree. That\u2019s why we don\u2019t just look out for our customers; we also look out for our employees. We pride ourselves on creating and maintaining a company culture that more closely resembles a warm, close-knit family than a sterile, impersonal corporation. For example, we sponsor volunteer activities, holiday celebrations, and employee appreciation luncheons.  Because we ask our valued employees to spend so much time away from their own homes, it\u2019s very important for us to try and make them feel at home while at work.<\/p>\n

But we\u2019re not ready to rest on our laurels. In fact, we\u2019re always looking at new ways of making our company culture a fun, friendly, and stimulating experience.
