August is here, which means more sunny days for outdoor activities and time with the family. It also means our fourth annual Grandparents Day Contest is going strong, and there is still plenty of time to send us your story.<\/p>\n

Our Grandparents Day Contest has become a hugely popular event, not just for participants, but for us too. People care about the stories they tell, which is clearly reflected in the entries we receive each year. We enjoy reading and watching them as much as you enjoy creating them.<\/p>\n

We will continue to accept entries through August 15th<\/sup>. Share your grandparent-related story in a short 500-word essay or 3-minute video and submit it on our website<\/a>, where others can read, watch, and vote for it. Public voting will be open through August 25th<\/sup>. The contest is open to anyone 18 years or older\u2014grandparents, parents, and grandchildren alike. There is no entry fee, and you don\u2019t even have to be a Consumer Cellular customer to enter.<\/p>\n

All prizes for the contest are provided by AARP\u00ae Travel Center powered by Expedia\u00ae. You could win the grand prize: an Orlando Vacation Package for 4 with roundtrip airfare and a 7-night hotel stay, valued at up to $10,000. Or you could win a $200 hotel voucher, which can be redeemed when booked with AARP Travel Center. All entries are eligible for the grand prize, but to be considered for a $200 hotel voucher as well, submit your essay or video under one of the following categories:<\/p>\n
