    How do I block a number that keeps calling me when I don’t want the calls or know the caller.

      Great question, Margaret. There are a few ways you can do this. First, you can download a call blocking app, such as Hiya. This app will alert you to known spam numbers. Next, if there is a number that calls you repeatedly, save them as contact. Then open the contact, tap the Settings option in the top right corner and check the box for “All calls to voicemail”.     I called tonight with a question, I haven’t called often and when I have I’ve always gotten a quick answer. Tonight I was told there was an unusually long wait (up to 15 minutes). I waited awhile but found all the ads for various things/business annoying. I felt that the long wait was just to force people to listen to whatever you were pushing for others. That was very disappointing. I have always thought well of Consumer Cellular, but your forcing these unwanted ads on your customers has certainly changed my opinion.
    I don’t know when/if I’ll be able to get my question answered, as I do not consider this Blog an appropriate place to discuss it. Also, I won’t listen to the ads — how much revenue is this bringing in???

    I want to get my husband the iPhone 6 for Christmas but don’t want to activate it beforehand. Can I do that? Also, does the iPhone 6 have a SIM card?

    • Hi HR, thank you for posting. If you are authorized on the account, then you can place the order for the Apple iPhone 6 before Christmas and wait to activate it. It also does come with a new SIM card already installed. However, please keep in mind that it would be subject to the same 30-day return period if you change your mind.
