Find Our Phones and More at a Target Store Near You

We’re extremely proud of our partnership with Target, which allows us to conveniently offer Consumer Cellular products and services at more than 1,800 retail locations across the country. It’s a great way for you to get a look at our devices before buying them, and makes it quick and easy to sign up for service and activate a new phone or a SIM card, or even use our SIM card with a phone you already have. Buying a Consumer Cellular phone at Target also gives you the advantage of getting your new device right away if you don’t have time to wait for shipping.

Target stores carry a range of our flip phones and Android smartphones. Some locations also carry the latest iPhone models, which you can purchase in-store using our handy EasyPay program. With EasyPay, you put as little as $50 down, then make interest-free payments of $25 on your monthly invoice until your new iPhone is paid in full.

In addition, select Target locations now provide our customers with in-store technical assistance. If our Customer Support team finds they’re not able to fully resolve an issue over the phone, you’ll have the option of having us schedule a convenient service visit to get expert help at a participating store near you. Just remember—you’ll always need to start by contacting us at (888) 345-5509 to troubleshoot any issues first; in-store support is an exclusive benefit to Consumer Cellular customers, so Target does not offer it on a “walk-in” basis.

Be sure to look for our display in the electronics section of a Target store in your area. You can use our online Store Locator to find the nearest location, and even find out which of our products are offered there before you go. It’s just another way we make it easy for you to get the most out of your Consumer Cellular service!

105 Thoughts on "Find Our Phones and More at a Target Store Near You"

  1. Jesus E. Batista says

I’ve been with Consumer Cellular since 2013 (switched from Sprint) and I love the android phones and service I have received. Especially the increase of phone usage that has been given over the years at no extra cost! I am retired and don’t need all of the bells and whistles I thought I needed when I first started with an android in ’09. With that said, your new web page is too busy and your log in at the top of the page is a joke. I know that you are trying to appeal to the younger set but as long as your commercials are geared to us seniors…you’re fighting a losing battle.

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for your feedback, Jesus. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts regarding our website and commercials, and I’ve passed this on to the appropriate departments here. Please know that we continue to be focused on our customers and their needs. Our goal for our site is to be as user friendly as possible across all types of devices, and your feedback helps us achieve that. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us, and for being a part of Consumer Cellular for so long. We hope you have a wonderful day!

      • William C. Buche says

Will a Kyocera DuraXT unlocked cellphone work on Consumer Cellular network? If so I will take it to my dealer and change the phone I have.

        • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for asking, William. While we can’t guarantee all phones will work with our service, in most cases, an unlocked GSM device will work with our SIM card. We recommend trying our free SIM card with your device to see if it is compatible. Our SIM cards can be found here on our site, at your local Target store or we can send you one if you call us at 888-345-5509. We’re also happy to answer any other questions you may have about our service. We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us, and we hope you have a great day!

          • John Ratcliffe says

I also would like to try the sim, just started an order and found that I MUST have it shipped to my billing address, since I am presently at work, 1000+ miles away, not a viable option, I wanted this for my travels, all within US, as some areas I work, my regular service is poor and my co workers are doing much better with GSM phones. This is an unlocked Iphone 4s used as a spare phone. If I cannot get it shipped to me, will have to wait until I return home to see if this even works, then I won’t need it for another 6 months….

          • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thanks for posting, John! You can also find our SIM cards at your local Target store, which sounds like a better option for your situation. To find our products at your local store, you can search your area on our Store Locator page here. That way, you can try our service they same day, and they can even help you activate your service at the store! We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us!

Trade my ol’ phone in and receive one of the new I phone sp phone for $299.00 with trade

          • Hi Tyrone, thanks for your post. Reviewing your account, I’m seeing you were able to speak with an agent who was able to advise that we don’t offer a trade-in program for our phones. However, you can contact us to see if we can unlock the phone for you, and then it can be sold if you’d like.

      • Erica says

Do you guys take money orders

        • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Hi Erica, we do accept money orders for monthly service. If you want to use a money order to buy a phone, then you’ll need to give us a call at 888-345-5509 or chat with us here.

  2. Mike Day says

Understanding my usage details. When I look at my usage details online, it shows a date and time. But many of the line items show calls in the early morning, before 8AM when we are closed, so I know that’s not the actual call time. What does the call timestamp indicate?

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for asking, Mike. The timestamp indicates the tower time, or the local time at the tower that recorded the call. If you think there may an issue with the usage reported on your account, we’re happy to go over that with you. Please give us a call at 888-345-5509, and we can assist you. We appreciate you posting today!

  3. Bob says

I agree with another person who posted, I liked the old website much better. The new one seems more complicated to use. “Keep it simple” seems to have been the reason for your sucess. Why mess with a good thing? I’m a long-time customer and very satisfied with your service. No one else is near as good.

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us, Bob. Our goal for the new site was to make it easier for all customers to find what they are looking for. I’m going to pass your feedback on to our site team, so that we can continue to improve the online experience for our customers. We appreciate you taking the time to post today!

  4. mike says

Hey got a question. Can you take my cloud savings app and save everything.????

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for asking, Mike! Depending on the cloud storage app you’re using, you may be able to transfer photos and other documents to another phone or a computer. We recommend looking for that option within the app. And of course if you need help, we’ll be right here at 888-345-5509. We appreciate you posting, and hope you have a wonderful day!

  5. Camille says

I am very pleased with consumer cellular. Never had texting with at&t because it was too expensive. I constantly text now which is much easier than calling. I have the doro flip which I call my granny phone and don’t need all those fancy phones since I am 70. My grandkids tell me I need an up to date phone but I tell them i’m quite happy with it. Customer service is great always polite and helpful. Thank you Consumer Cellular!

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

That’s wonderful to hear, Camille! I’m so glad to hear that Consumer Cellular has been a good fit for you. We appreciate your kind words, and look forward to serving you for years to come!

  6. Bonnie Hoag says

I’m thinking of switching however I luv my Mega phone by Samsung. Could I keep my own phone and still sign on with your company?

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

We have many customers just like you, Bonnie, who love their phone, but want better service. That’s why our SIM card can be the perfect solution! You can use it with most unlocked GSM phones, such as those used previously with AT&T or T-Mobile. We even have a video showing you just how easy it is, which you can watch here. Best of all, our SIM cards are absolutely free, as we’ll give you a $10 credit when you activate it. That way, there is no risk to you! You can pick one up at your local Target store, order one on our site or we can send you one if you call us at 888-345-5509. Thank you for taking the time to post today, and we look forward to speaking with you soon!

  7. Margaret Velarde says

I need help, my grandson dropped my phone into the toilet, yes I said toilet and I need to get a new phone, but I was thinking of getting an “IPhone Smart Phone” but does that cause my plan to change, as the folks at Target are of little or no help…..so I need HELP ASAP

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

We’re so sorry to hear about your phone, Margaret. If you would like to purchase the iPhone with our interest-free Easy Pay plans, you’ll pay a one-time down payment, and the balance will be paid in $25 increments that will be added to your monthly bill. As for your plan, it won’t change if you switch to a new type of smartphone, unless you find yourself wanting more data to use. We’re happy to answer any other questions you may have about purchasing a new device at 888-345-5509. Thank you for posting!

  8. Claudia says

Can I use my existing iPhone 5s with your service?

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

We appreciate you asking, Claudia! In most cases, unlocked GSM versions of the iPhone work quite well with our service, especially those used previously with AT&T or Verizon. You’ll want to confirm with your previous carrier that your device is unlocked, as we aren’t able to do that on our end. You can take a look at our video here to see how simple it is to use our SIM card with your phone. All you need to get started is our free SIM card, which you can find at Target, on our site, or we can help you order over the phone at 888-345-5509. Thank you so much for posting today, and we look forward to assisting you!

    • Charlene says

I thought the people at target in Paso Robles were great.larrissa there was so patient with my questions. Also while showing me the new systems, she was not pushy like Verizon, which is why I’m changing.

  9. Alex Bowers says

Thinking about switching. How do you compare to Straight Talk, which we currently have?

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for reaching out to us, Alex! We’re happy to tell you more about our service. We offer plans for calling, texting and data. You can view them here. We don’t have contracts, and you can change your plan at any time. Many of our customers find that they save when compared to other carriers, since they can reduce their plan if they find they didn’t need as many minutes or messages as they thought. You can use our service with a new phone purchased from us, or you can use an unlocked GSM phone you already have. We’re happy to talk with you about your usage, then recommend a plan that would fit your needs. Just give us a call at 888-345-5509, and we will be ready to assist you. We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us, and we look forward to speaking with you!

  10. Andrew says

Currently with t-mobile. My wife and I both have older lg(android) phones and iPads we use constantly. I have unlimited data for both iPads. If I switch to Consumer Cellular, will you support phones and iPads with unlimited data? If so, what would be my approximate monthly bill?

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

We appreciate you reaching out to us about our service, Andrew. At this time, we don’t offer an unlimited data plan, though we do have options with unlimited talk and text. Our largest data plan offers 5GB of data, and you can see all of our plan options here on our site. Depending on how you use your devices, our plans may work for your needs. We’re happy to talk with you about your usage and recommend a plan at 888-345-5509. Thank you for taking the time to post, and we look forward to speaking with you!

      • Moreen says

        HI Ashley,

If you have multiple lines is that 5 GB of shared data?

        • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

That’s correct, Moreen. You can have multiple lines that share any of our plans. It’s a great way for everyone to save!

  11. Jeffrey D. LaBarrett says

Really a frustrating day; wish I could praise the Consumer Cellular events of today but cannot. SIM card that was sent installed; cannot call out or even get in touch with Consumer Cellular customer srvcs. Nothing working and cannot text out or call anyone. Interior notification object in the phone states INVALID SIM CARD! This is a Samsung Galaxy s5. Only way we can begin communicating is through my Email; but I see responses generated from YOU states a rep. will get back to me within 5 BUSINESS DAYS.

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

We apologize for the frustration you experienced, Jeffrey. I took a look at your account, and I’m so glad to see that Loraine, our customer account advisor, was able to answer your questions and assist you. If we can help you with anything else or answer any questions you may have about your plan, please call us at 888-345-5509. Thank you for reaching out to us, and we hope you have a wonderful day!

  12. Roger and Marilynn Gregory says

Is there a difference between “Secondary Access” and “Secondary User”. My husband who has the account called in yesterday asking for secondary access for me (spouse) and was given a secondary user. They never asked for a phone number to be assigned. I want to switch our home phone (now with TimeWarner-Spectrum) to the cell phone. What do we need to do to accomplish this. They are supposedly mailing me a SIM card. Can I take that to Target to purchase a phone and get the number changed there. Help.

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

I’m happy to help you, Marilynn. I reviewed your account, and I see that you are listed as a secondary user, and that your new SIM card is being processed. The SIM card has been assigned a phone number, so please call us at 888-345-5509 to verify that is indeed the number you prefer. Once the SIM card arrives, you’ll be able to install it into a phone you already have. That’s it! We’re happy to talk with you about the next steps if you like, so give us a call at your convenience. Welcome to Consumer Cellular, and we look forward to serving you!

  13. Denise Sullivan says

Going to Target is a great way to get a look at a device before buying? I don’t think so! I went to three, yes three, different Target stores and not one of them had a phone I could hold or even look at. They all also told me they could not even open a box containing a phone unless I paid for it first.

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Denise. I’m happy to pass your feedback on to our retail team. Our displays at Target are meant to give you a better understanding of the device, so we do apologize if that wasn’t the case in this situation. Please note that if you do purchase a device from us and it isn’t what you were expecting, you can always return it free of charge thanks to our Risk-Free Guarantee. We’re happy to tell you more about that over the phone at 888-345-5509. We appreciate you taking the time to post, and we hope you have a great day!

  14. Linda says

I have an CC flip phone that I replaced with an Android. I would like to give my old flip phone to a friend (who also has a CC account). Can she just take the phone to Target to get a new SIM card and have her cellphone number programed to it?

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Great question, Linda! She can either get a new SIM card for her account from Target, or we can send her one via the mail, whichever is most convenient. If she needs any help, we’re always ready to assist at 888-345-5509. Thank you for posting!

  15. Kae LeBeau says

    Hello Consumer Cellular,
I just want to share with you how much I like my new Doro 626 flip phone! I purchased it at my local Target store and a mobile rep set it up for me right there, it was great! I love that I can have unlimited talk and texts for such a great price which is even better using my AARP discounts! My previous cell phone was an android “smart phone” with a different service provider. I didn’t utilize all the features and the reception/service was not good. The features on the Doro are just what I need and easy to use plus the reception/service is great! So happy I switched service to you!!

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

That is so wonderful to hear, Kae! Thank you for sharing your experience with us. The Doro 626 is a great device, and we’re so glad to hear you like it. We appreciate you posting!

  16. John Hayes says

Good luck in getting any service from Target!!!Tried several in the area and none had phone in stock which I was looking. Employees either offered no help or inaccurate info. I ended up ordering from Consumer Cellular where I always get great service….. Thanks

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for the feedback, John. I’ll be sure to pass this on to our retail team for review. I’m glad to hear that we were able to help you, and if we can be of any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to call us at 888-345-5509. We appreciate you posting, and we hope you have a wonderful day!

  17. Steve Saul says

Interested in switching from Verizon to Consumer Cellular … Interested in IPhone 7 Plus (line 1) and CC-101 (line 2). Understand the Iphone carries $170 up front cost + $25/month for 24 months … CC-101 flat $30 up front cost. Understand a $40 ($20/line) up front credit.
    Doses this seem true???

Does a monthly cost of about $40 +$25 IPhone seem correct (AARP Member)???

Is service as good as ATT / Verizon?

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

I’m happy to answer your questions, Steve. The totals listed for the devices you’ve chosen is correct. If you open your account before August 15th, you will see the $40 credit (2 lines) on your first invoice. Going forward, you’ll see the price for your current plan, $10 for the second line and the $25 EasyPay payment on your invoice each month. We provide nationwide service that covers 99% of the population, and we can take a look at the coverage in your specific area to ensure you’ll have the best possible experience. Just give us a call at 888-345-5509 if you have any questions, and we can help you get started. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us, and we hope to see you as a Consumer Cellular customer soon!

  18. Karen says

I’m interested in transferring my mother’s LAN line at Hawaiian Telcom to Consumer Cellular. The sales rep at the local Target store said that I will need to bring in the Hawaiian Telcom phone bill and the PIN for the account. I checked with Hawaiian Telcom and was told
that their LAN lines do not have
PINs. Please let me know what is the best way to resolve this. Also does Consumer Cellular have reception in the 96816 area?
    Thank you.

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for posting, Karen. In order to transfer your mother’s number to our service, we need the account information, which is why we usually recommend having an invoice or bill on hand. Not every account has a PIN, so we’re happy to work with you to get any additional information if it is needed. It looks like that ZIP code is covered, and you can view our coverage map here in detail. If you have any questions or would like to get started, we’re happy to assist you over the phone at 888-345-5509. We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us, and we hope you have a wonderful day!

  19. Cheryl says

I do like my phone a lot! Consumer Cellular was a the best decision I made. Can now text without worrying about going over, no dropped calls and easy to use. Do wish it had a instructions booklet on use of wifi and apps. Phone bigger than I wanted but all in all great for me. In the 5 Targets around here no phones to pick up look at and employees push other phones.

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for posting, Cheryl! We have videos and manuals available for each of our devices on our website here. If you like, we can email these directly to you if you call us at 888-345-5509. We also appreciate your feedback regarding your experience at Target. I’m happy to pass that on to our retail department. Thanks again for taking the time to post today!

  20. Jackie says

We have a Samsung 4 & Motorola Mini Droid from Verizon. We are no longer under contract with them, so I assume those are unlocked. Can we use theses phones if we switch to Consumer Cellular?

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thanks for asking, Jackie! In general, unlocked phones that use the GSM network, such as those used previously with T-Mobile or AT&T, work best with our service. Verizon uses CDMA technology, so while some newer smartphones that use a SIM card can be used with our service, your phones may not be the best fit. The best way to know for sure is to try your device with our SIM card, risk-free. We can help you over the phone at 888-345-5509, or you can order a SIM card here on our site or pick one up at your local Target store. We appreciate you taking the time to learn more about us, and we hope to see you as a customer soon!

  21. Carlene says

Hi my mother in law just activated her phone with consumer cellular. However she had an iPhone 4. No number backed up anywhere. How do we get her numbers transferred to the new phone….is it possible that it can be done at Target?

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

We can help you with that, Carlene. There are a few different options for transferring contacts, including using the previous SIM card and bluetooth. Please give us a call at 888-345-5509 at your convenience. Thank you for taking the time to post, and we look forward to assisting you both!

  22. Olin Mittan says

I went to my local Target store today hoping to get some info about switching to Consumer Cellular, and whether or not to upgrade from an iPhone 5s to a 6. I walked the store twice and could not find any indications that Consumer Cellular was supported there. I currently use Verizon. I don’t go to the store often, but when I do, it’s comforting to know they are there and knowledgeable. What level of support should I expect to find at Target, and what department is that support normally found in?

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for posting, Olin! You’ll find Consumer Cellular products in the electronics area of your Target store. For the store nearest you, check out our Store Locator here. We offer award-winning support to our customers over the phone and via email. While the employees at Target may be able to help you with some things, our customer account advisors are experts on our devices and are the best bet if you need help. We’re happy to answer any questions you may have about our service at 888-345-5509. We appreciate you taking the time to learn more about us, and we hope to see you as a customer soon!

  23. Randy says

My wife and I were interested in switching to Consumer Cellular. Have been Verizon customers for many years, over 20. We went to the Target near us on Sayebrook Ave., in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Target Tech person explained my wife’s smartphone would accept the SIM card from CC. However my flip phone would have to be replaced. I expressed interest in the Apple iPhone SE. Target had none in stock. I ask if this SE could be ordered and was told NO. I ask when an SE would become available and the tech guy had no idea, stating these just come in randomly without notice. So we left feeling disappointed and have decided to stay with Verizon. I was disappointed in the lack of CC phones that were actually in stock at this location.

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for reaching out to us, Randy. We apologize for any miscommunication on the part of the employee at Target. While our products are available at Target, those working within the electronics department are not Consumer Cellular employees. You can order the iPhone SE directly from us, and if you’re interested, you can get started here. We appreciate you taking the time to learn more about us, and if you’re ready to make the switch, we can help you do so quickly and easily. Thanks again for reaching out to us, and we hope you have a lovely day!

  24. Bryan says

I was interested in your Samsung Galaxy J7 Smart Phone and I wanted to know what the exact model it was. I know each company sells a slightly different version of that phone.

    Thanks

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

We’re happy to help you with that, Bryan. The model we offer is the SM-J727U. It’s a great option for any Android user! If we can be of any further assistance or if you would like to order the Samsung Galaxy J7, please call us at 888-345-5509 at your convenience. Thank you for posting, and we hope you have a great day!

i just found out today that CC has two different sim cards. at&t
and t mobile. when i got my wife and myself new samsung j3
phones, cc sent them with t mobile sim cards. i had always assumed
CC was using at&t. When my wife tries using her phone inside a
building, it doesn’t work. found out today from CC that we have
t mobile sim cards in our phones. our old Motorla smart phones
had the at&t sim cards and there weren’t any problems. we are going to target to change to at&t sim cards. hopefully this will take care of this.

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thanks for posting, James. We take a look at the coverage in your area and choose the network that will give you the best experience. However, in some places, one option will work better than the other. If the new SIM cards don’t resolve the issues you’re experiencing, be sure to give us a call at 888-345-5509 so that we can do some additional troubleshooting. We appreciate you reaching out to us, and we hope you have a wonderful day!

  26. Mia Horvat says

Today my boyfriend went to the Target at 5401 Broad St to sign up with Consumer Cellular; he called me later and said the lone”kid” in the cell phone arwa was more interested in schmoozing with two girls, tried multiple times to steer him AWAY from Consumer cellular, told him Consumer cellular didn’t have any iPhones, and just really was unhelpful and dismissive.
    So, lost a sale.

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

We appreciate you sharing your experience, Mia, and our retail team will be reviewing this in detail. Our account advisors would be happy to answer your questions and assist you over the phone at 888-345-5509 at your convenience. You can also select a plan or device here on our website. Thank you for taking the time to post, and we hope to speak with you soon!

  27. Carmen says

I have a Samsung note 4 and would like to switch to cc , and a Samsung s3 Will they work with cc?

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us, Carmen! In general, fully unlocked phones that use GSM technology work best with our service, such as those used before with AT&T or T-Mobile. You’ll just need our SIM card to get started, and you can see how that works here. If you’d like to test your phone with our SIM card, you can try it risk-free. Just pick one up at your local Target store, on our website or we can send you one if you call us at 888-345-5509. We’re happy to answer any other questions you may have about the SIM card or our plans, so please give us a call. We appreciate you posting, and we hope to speak with you soon!

I have a Doro phone from Target and I am with Consumer Cellular.

  29. Shikha says

I bought a Alcatel Tetra phone from Walmart (AT&T). Will your sim card work in that? I already have your service. Just need to add my son. DOes Target carry a sim card?

    • Ashley at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our SIM card option, Shikha. Our SIM cards can be used with most fully unlocked GSM phones, such as those used previously with AT&T. You can find our SIM cards at Target, so it’s quick and easy to add your son to your account. We appreciate you posting!

  30. Gabriel G says

I’m considering switching to consumer cellular and also changing my phone from an I phone to Motorola I would like to know which Motorola g7 phones are compatible. I am interested in the g7 play or the g7 power. Is one more compatible with consumer cellular than the other? I’m located in Lafayette, Louisiana if that helps. Also how would I be able to transfer all my phone numbers and information from my i phone to a Motorola phone?

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for taking the time to post, Gabriel. If you’re interested in using any non-Consumer Cellular phone with our service, it would need to be unlocked, able to use a SIM card, and GSM-compatible. We aren’t able to guarantee compatibility for all phone models, but we will do all that we can to get a phone working with our service.

Additionally, we do offer the Motorola Moto G7 Power with our service and you can find it here, if you’re interested. If you would prefer to purchase the phone in-store, you can find local retail partners in your area here.

If you also want to transfer information from an iPhone to an Android device, the easiest way to get this done is with a Google account, using Google Drive and there are steps available for this through the Android website or through Google.

I don’t have a phone how would I sign up as a new costumoser to consumer cellumer and I don’t have a way to call the 1 800 number either can yoll email me the paper work to my email address to my tablet

    • Great question, Donnie! We cannot email any paperwork to set up service, however, you can sign up by going to our website here or you can also visit a partnered Target location to get signed up as well. If you would like to see if there is a location near you, visit our website here.

  32. Cheryl says

Is Target the only store I may purchase your phone? Have gone to four different Targets to look for newer consumer cellular phone and they don’t carry many and not helpful. This must be a Target issue as I’m sure your company would have sent them merchandise.

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

It’s unfortunate that the Target stores you visited didn’t have enough stock, Cheryl. While they are the main retailer that we partner with, we do partner with select independent retailers as well. You can find all of our retail partners near you here. If a store doesn’t have a phone that you’re interested in, you can order one online or by calling us at 888-345-5509 and we’ll ship it straight to you.

  33. Shirley says

I am with Verizon. Have a new unlocked Android 10+. Will that work with Consumer Cellular. Just need 1 line unlimited tex and calls.

Do you also have the cloud feature that saves your photos and contacts?
I don’t especially need photoes in the cloud but with Verizon twice my phone lost my contacts and it took 2 days for them to search CLOUD and get them back? thanks

    • Hi Shirley, that’s an excellent question, thanks for posting! Consumer Cellular doesn’t have a cloud service that we offer our customers, but we can walk you through backing photos and contacts up to your Gmail and Google account so that when you sign in on that phone, or on a different phone, they’ll come up for you. If you’d like some assistance with that or more information on this process, give us a call at 800-686-4460 or chat with us here.

  34. Jim Urick says

Can I add my IPad Pro (cellular version) to my Consumer Cellular account? I currently have 2 IPhones on the account sharing data and would like to add the IPad to share that same data.

    • Hi Jim, thanks for your question. If the iPad is unlocked and is also GSM-compatible, it may work on our network. We can’t guarantee that all models will be compatible with our network, but we’ll definitely do all that we can to see if we can get that working with our service.

  35. Jeanette Sullivqn says

I live near 2 Target Stores and neither offer your service. Where can I locate your service as I am thinking of switching to you.

    Thank You,
    Jeanette Sullivan

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Hi Jeanette, while we partner with most Target stores, there are some that may not sell our products. You can find our retail partners here. You can also sign up for service over the phone by calling 888-345-5509 or on our website.

  36. Martin Broad says

My wife wold like an 8 plus in gold. I’ve been looking on your site and the local Target store for a month with no luck… any suggestions?

    • Hi Martin, thanks for your question. We are waiting on Apple to send us more options so we are not sure if or when we may have that color back in stock. You do have the option to purchase an unlocked model from Apple directly though to use with our SIM card in the color that is preferred as another option if you don’t want to wait any longer.

  37. Michael Oelschlegel says

Notice you were out of stock on I-phone SE, 64GB in black and red. Any idea when they may be back in stock?

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Hi Michael, we don’t have restock dates for our phones. However, as soon as a phone is back in stock, our website is updated so we recommend checking periodically.

  38. Ramona Quinn says

My Mom got a flip phone at Target this week, she is 91. She was with my sisters plan on Verizon, but decided she wanted to go with Consumer Cellular. She had the account # and pin. The guy at Target said he transferred her contacts from her old flip Verizon. However she can’t make calls out and I can’t call her, it is a mess, so disappointed! Should I go back to Target or should I call Consumer Cellular and what number do I call and what do I need.

    • Hi Ramona, thanks for your post! I would recommend giving us a call to actually check on the phone number transfer to make sure it completed. Give us a call at 800-686-4460 or chat with one of our agents here and we’d be happy to look into that for you.

  39. william watson says

it would be nice if aperson was available 24 hrin the customer service dept. iam thinking about switching to tmobile or some other carrier where help would have 24 hr service

    • Hi William, thanks for that feedback! At this time, our hours for our call centers are 5:00 AM Pacific Time to 6:00 PM Pacific Time Monday through Friday, and then 6:00 AM Pacific Time to 5:00 PM Pacific Time Saturday and Sunday. I have passed along your feedback and suggestion though for going forward.

  40. Deborah Kanes says

I live in Panama City Beach, FL. and trying to find a consumer cellular kiosk in a Target, I am a current customer but need to buy a new phone and have the information transferred over to the new phone.

    • Nicole at Consumer Cellular says

Thank you for posting, Deborah. All of our retail partner locations can be found on our website here. If there isn’t a Target available in your area, we can assist you with getting started over the phone at 888-345-5509.

  41. Sue says

I am a CC customer and want to buy one of your phones as a second line on my account. I qualify for EZ Pay. The CC customer rep said the Target does not set-up CC EZ Pay. The Target store said that the higher price at Target is what I would pay, not the CC quoted price via the CS rep. I asked both CC and Target, if CC could set up my EZ Pay and then have Target verify it and then sell me the CC at the CC Ez Pay price quoted to me. The CC rep said that I would have to pay extra for the earliest shipping. The CC rep and Target CS said that I could not get the phone in-store at Target. Target would not sell me the phone at the quoted CC price verified by the CC cs rep. The Summer heat in transit via UPS from Portland, OR to FLorida…would FRY my phone. Why can’t I just set everything up with CC directly with EZ Pay terms and just just go pick up the phone at Target at the CC verified online price? This is getting confusing….. why should I pay extra for CC shipping, when I can pick up the phone in-store at Target? I am an AARP Senior Citizen with C Cellular. Should I go to Amazon and just use my Amazon Store card account?

    • Hi Sue, thanks for bringing your concerns forward. Unfortunately, Target isn’t able to access everything that we can, though the prices should match if it’s on sale. If you want to set it up with the EasyPay option, we do recommend giving us a call at 800-686-4460 to place the order and we can ship it out. We have shipped out to Florida in the summer without the phone being damaged at all. You can purchase a phone from a different seller, but keep in mind you’ll need to make sure it’s completely unlocked, is GSM0compatible, and VoLTE capable. We can’t guarantee compatibility for all models, but we’ll do all we can to see if we can get it connected for you if you choose to go that route.

  42. Cindy Farber says

Are their any Target stores on Long Island New York that service Consumer Cellular

  43. Carolyn Pate says

I presently have service with CC and I have an iphone 8+. My phone is approximately 2 years old and I have dropped it a number of times. Even when I close out of an APP when I again pick up my phone there a # of apps open. Is it the phone due to drops? What should I do.

    • Hi Carolyn, thanks for your question. I’m sorry to hear about your phone, if it’s been dropped multiple times, it can be that this is affecting how the phone is performing. We’d be happy to troubleshoot the issue with you though if you’d like to give us a call at 800-686-4460 or you can also chat with us here for further assistance. Otherwise, you can also order a new phone.

  44. Emily says

All but one of the iPhone’s you sell are out of stock. How are we supposed to know when they will be back? There is no information anywhere. All it says is “Out of Stock” for the limited options that are even available. I am already a Consumer Cellular customer, but am continuously frustrated with the lack of information provided (and the lack of working data!).

    • Hi Emily, we appreciate your feedback on this. Unfortunately, we ourselves don’t actually know when we will get the phones in stock since we are waiting on Apple to send us more of these phones. When there is an announcement made for a new iPhone, it can cause a delay in receiving more, but we do recommend checking back on our website frequently since they will be posted here first once they’re received. If you’re having any trouble with data, definitely follow up with us at 800-686-4460 or chat with us here for further assistance.

My mother has an iPhone that doesn’t hold a charge at all. I know you offer rebuilt phones but I assume they need to hold a full charge. How can we remedy this problem?

  47. Donna M Smith says

Target in Kannapolis does not have anyone there to help set up a phone . You should change your website to be current. I assume no one in my area can help you face to face with any problems you have with the phone.

    • Hi Donna, thanks for your message. Our website actually shows the Targets in the area that sell our devices, not the ones that have an employee there that can help with the phone. We recommend actually giving us a call at 800-686-4460 or chatting with us here so that we can see if there is an available location near you and to set up a visit with them.

  48. Jon Stewart says

I went to a Target store in Albany, Ca, to buy a new phone from Cellular and get help with swapping the sim card and the apps from my old phone and discovered that no one actually works in the Consumer Cellular section there. Six or eight people were standing around waiting for service and after about 19 minutes a Target worker came by and said he knew nothing about mobile phones but he’d be happy to sell me one. He said there was no technician there the entire day. What gives? This doesn’t strike me as quality customer service.

    • Hi Jon, thanks for your post. Not all of our partnered Target locations offer a technician that can help with the phones. Some locations are just set up to sell our phones for us. We do recommend calling the Target you’d like to visit ahead of time to see if there will be someone there that can help if you need any help with signing up with the phone.
