How do I set up voicemail?

Voicemail records messages for you when you’re on the phone or when your phone is turned off. Follow the steps below to set up and retrieve your voicemail. If you need assistance, please call Customer Service at 1-888-345-5509. View video on setting up and using voicemail.

  1. From your cellular phone, press and hold 1. Your phone will dial the voicemail number and you will hear voice prompts to guide you through the following steps.
  2. Press 1 for English or 2 for Spanish.
  3. Press # to confirm your language choice.
  4. Enter a password and press #. We recommend choosing a 4-6 digit number that is easy to remember. You will need to enter this password every time you listen to your messages. If you wish to turn this feature off when accessing your voicemail box from your cellular phone, see "How do I remove the password from my voicemail?"
  5. Select a greeting:
    • Press 1 for the standard greeting with your phone number.
    • Press 2 for the standard greeting with your name.
    • Press 3 to record a personal greeting.
  6. Once you have selected your greeting, you will be given final reminders, then press 2. The voicemail system will ask you to choose:
    • Send a message.
    • Check receipt (check to see if a message you sent has been received).
    • Personal options.
    • Disconnect.
  7. Press * (star) to disconnect.

Note: Setting up your voicemail uses minutes from your plan.

How do I check my voicemail?

You can check your voicemail from your cell phone or from another phone.

Note: When you use your cell phone to check voicemail, you use minutes from your plan. If you check your voicemail from another phone, you don't use any minutes.

  1. Press and hold 1.
  2. Enter your password.
  3. Follow the voice prompts.

  1. Dial your 10-digit cell phone number.
  2. Press * (star) when you hear your personal greeting.
  3. Enter your password.
  4. Follow the voice prompts.

Time-Saving Tips.
While listening to a message, you can press:

  • 5 to check time/date of message
  • 6 to play message faster
  • 4 to play message slower
  • 3 to fast-forward
  • 33 to fast-forward to the end
  • 1 to rewind
  • 11 to rewind to beginning
  • # to skip to next message
  • 337 to erase message quickly
  • 339 to save message quickly

After listening to a message, you can press:

  • 9 to save message
  • 7 to erase message
  • 5 to check date/time of message
  • 0 to get help/more information

How do I remove the password from my voicemail?

For your security, the voicemail system requires that you enter your password every time you listen to your messages. However, if you choose, you can turn this feature off when accessing your voicemail box from your cellular phone.

  1. On your cell phone, press and hold 1 to dial your voicemail.
  2. If you have new messages, you can either listen to them or press * (star) to go to the Main Menu. If you don't have new messages, you are already at the Main Menu.
  3. Press 4 for Personal Options.
  4. Press 2 for Administrative Options.
  5. Press 1 for Passwords.
  6. Press 2 to toggle between Password On and Password Off.

Note: Setting up your voicemail uses minutes from your plan.
