What if I need to cancel service?

With our 100% Risk Free Guarantee, you can cancel your service and return your phone within 45 days or 45 minutes of use (whichever comes first) and pay nothing. We’ll even send you a mailing label so you can ship it back for free. The phone must be undamaged and all accessories returned in the original box with the manuals.

If you find you need to cancel service after the Risk Free Guarantee period, we will prorate your final billing statement and send it to you in the next billing cycle.

What is the coverage area of your network?

Consumer Cellular operates from the AT&T network, which provides coverage to 98% of the households in the United States. See our coverage map

Unlike other cell phone providers, however, we do not require contracts. We provide reliable, month to month service. All our plans are anytime minutes, day or night, Monday through Sunday. These rates are good for calls anywhere in the U.S., without additional charges for roaming or long distance. Our plans also include caller ID, call waiting and voicemail at no extra cost.

Can I use my phone while I'm on a cruise?

Our service is designed to only work within the United States (yes—Alaska and Hawaii are part of the U.S.). Once you leave the U.S., your phone should not work. This includes cruise ship travel. If by chance it does, the rates are completely unregulated and set by the country in which you are traveling. Generally, it will cost at least $1 - $3 per minute. To make matters worse, if your phone rings, you are billed—even if you don’t answer it. Our advice is to leave your phone at home.
