What text messaging packages do you have?

You can purchase text and picture messaging by the message (standard) or in monthly packages. Standard messaging is useful for those who don't send many messages.

Text Messaging Packages:

100 Package	After 100 messages, additional messages are 10¢ each.	$2.50
500 Package	After 500 messages, additional messages are 10¢ each.	$5.00
1000 Package	After 1000 messages, additional messages are 10¢ each.	$10.00
2000 Package	After 2000 messages, additional messages are 10¢ each.	$20.00

Other Notes:

• Charges occur on outgoing and incoming text messages to a U.S. phone number.
• Text messages over 160 characters are divided into multiple text messages. Each message is charged separately.
• Family Share - If you are on a family share plan, all package text messages are shared among all the phones on your account.
• International Text - Outgoing internation text messages are not included in the messaging packs listed above. They are charged separately at 20¢ per message. Incoming international text messages are included in the messaging packs.
• While picture messages are included in the messaging packages, they require access to the data network in order to be sent. For this reason, a Wireless Web package is also needed if you would like to send and receive picture messages.

How do I add text messaging to my phone?

To add text and picture messaging to your phone:

1. Log in to My Account.
2. Click “Change Account Features.”
3. Click “Change Services.”
4. Check “Text and Picture Messaging” for each phone to which you want to add messaging.
5. Select the messaging package that best fits your needs.
6. Click “Submit.”

Note: If you wish to send picture messages, you must add a Wireless Web package as well.

How do I use text/picture messaging?

You can use your cell phone to send and receive text messages of up to 160 characters. See complete pricing information for text messaging.

• Text Messaging To exchange text messages with another cell phone that is capable of text messaging, simply use the 10-digit cell phone number as the message recipient address.

• Picture Messaging Every phone is different—for specific instructions on sending picture messages, download your phone’s manual from the Phone Manuals page. Essentially this is how picture messaging works:
  1. Select the camera icon on your phone.
  2. Take a picture.
  3. Select “Send.”
  4. Enter the recipient’s phone number or select one of your Contacts.
  5. Press “Send” to send the picture.

How do I stop unwanted text messages?

To stop unwanted messages, you can remove Text Messaging from your account:

1. Login to My Account.
2. Click “Plans & Usage.”
3. Click “Change Services.”
4. Uncheck “Text and Picture Messaging” from all phones on your account.
5. Click “Submit.”

Please understand that even if you remove Text Messaging from your account, your phone may still be able to receive text messages simply by being connected to the cell phone network. We currently have no way of completely disabling the phone’s ability to receive text messages because the cell phone system uses the same method to send necessary service-related downloads and information to your phone. If you continue to have problems, our only other option is to issue you a new cell phone number.
