Today, consumers in more than 30 countries use Doro phones. Now you, too, can take advantage of these wonderful phones. And it’s easy, since Consumer Cellular is the exclusive US provider of these phones.
The PhoneEasy 345 offers plenty of functionality, together with vibrating ringer, soft touch surfaces and Bluetooth™ wireless technology. Stars of the Month
Stephen “Steve” Torkko
Steve Torkko and his wife, Marcia (pronounced: Marsha, not Mar-see-a), live in Providence Point, an award-winning retirement planned community overlooking Lake Sammamish and the Issaquah valley in the state of Washington. This gorgeous setting, in the town of Issaquah, is about 20 miles east of Seattle and at the foot of the Cascades mountain range. Steve, a retired pastor, helps keep the development in tip-top, award-worthy shape by serving as a neighborhood handyman.
Although they are very proud of their three grown-up children and two grandchildren, Steve and Marcia are not exactly empty nesters. They have two pets, a dog and a cat, that grew up together and are now about 15 years old. Steve named the tiny dog “Brunhilde,” after the mighty German female warrior (and as featured in a Wagner opera). He thought a powerful name would help make the small dog stronger. The cat, a full-blooded Orange Tabby, is named Marmalade for her color and sweet disposition. The two pets are so friendly they sometimes curl up and sleep together.
Meeting the occasional handyman needs of 450 customers requires Steve to rely on his cell phone. A mobile user for more than ten years, Steve has found in Consumer Cellular what he considers the perfect fit: gracious customer service, an affordable plan (he pays about one third of what he was paying with his previous service provider), no contracts and the flexibility to change his plan any time he likes.
Steve was immediately impressed with Consumer Cellular the first time he called about a service question. In Steve's words, the customer service rep “won him over right away with her attitude.” He says he had the very best experience he has ever had with any customer service person, bar none! Coming from a man who truly understands what it takes to provide assistance, those are sweet words indeed.
Thanks to his Consumer Cellular service, Steve is only a call away from someone in need.
Marcia “Lynn” Scherzinger
Beaverton, Oregon esidents Marcia “Lynn” Scherzinger and her husband, Richard, practically live next door to Consumer Cellular. By day, Lynn works as “Super Receptionist,” where she makes her office safe for productivity and leaps conference calls in a single bound. By night, she enjoys editing videos, playing video games and just about anything to do with music.
Lynn has four children, two of her own and two step-children, who are all grown now and out of the house. How does she describe the empty nester feeling? "WOO HOO!!!" Charles, a 13-year old cat, remains at home to keep an eye on the liberated couple.
So far, their marriage has survived at least one cell phone disaster. Richard once took Lynn’s “girly” ring tone phone by mistake to a heavy metal concert with their son. Unfortunately, the phone rang during a rare quiet moment at the concert. Later, her son told a laughing Lynn about the many shades of red her husband turned while fumbling to shut off the phone. As she likes to conclude the story, “No man wants to be seen at a heavy metal concert with a Barry Manilow ring tone.”
A cell phone user for nearly 10 years, Lynn is a busy person and, by her own admission, doesn’t suffer fools or unnecessary timesinks gladly. She loves how Consumer Cellular respects her time by making it super easy for her to start or change service, view usage online and even pay her bill online. An added bonus? The service plans, she says, are “extremely affordable.”
Whenever Lynn’s friends complain about their service, she tells them to switch to Consumer Cellular. She closes the deal by saying, “No hidden fees, no contracts, and the best part... YOU are the one in control!” We could not have said it better ourselves.

Q: How do I increase the volume of a call?
A: Every phone is different, of course, but most give you an easy way to turn up or turn down the volume. Depending on your particular phone model, the control could be on a keypad, say, or on the side of the phone. For example, the Doro PhoneEasy has a volume control on the side, which is marked by plus (+) and minus (-) symbols.
For specific instructions on controlling the volume on your phone, download your free copy of the user guide from our Phone Manuals page.
To test your phone’s volume, simply call our test line number 888-460-8781. This is a free call—and you may use it as often as you like. Remember, you must be engaged in a call in order to adjust the volume.
Q: How do I use Caller ID?
A: If you have a Caller ID compatible phone, look at the display when your phone rings to view the phone number of the person calling you. You’ll see one of the following messages on your phone's display:
